Stories like this make my life difficult. My day job is high school science teacher. Flat-earth, ancient aliens, moon hoax, etc. are things that I use on a regular basis to show why the scientific process is important. Despite the collective best efforts of science teachers, and rational thinking human beings everywhere, some people still slip through the cracks believing such nonsense. Sigh..... I'll just keep fighting the fight and teach the students how to think for themselves and base their decisions on actual evidence and testing.

The thing I don't get about the flat Earthers is: For what purpose would a grand conspiracy to hide the truth that the Earth is really flat serve? What financial, social, or political benefit would "they" accrue through expending so much energy and effort to keep us uninformed sheeple in the dark about the Earth being flat? Are we to believe that the sales of Terry Prachett novels is contingent upon their premise solely appearing fictional and it's up to a vast unaffliated swath of people from high-level world government officials to lowly physics and astronomy grad students to protect the secret so a movie sequel to Hogfather will become a reality?

Makes as much sense as those lowlifes that sit in their mommas basement and create computer viruses..... One of which attacked my work computer last week. I’m gonna get em. Every last one of Of em..... Durned horny toads...

The Earth is flat; that's how we have water that doesn't run off the "globe" and into space. Duh.

You mean there's a possibility his "rocket" is little more than a prop designed to strip folks to a sum of about $7,000 by having them dump their money into his kickstarter? If you believe that, than you probably think the earth is round too!
