First love broke my heart

A million fish in the sea! Don't just like her because she's pretty. You'll have a million chances with other pretty girls. Get to know her, an if you like her brain, or can even say that you know her on a first name basis, THEN say you're "in love with her".

Trust me, DON'T be with a girl just because she's pretty. Been there, done that.

Bingo, difference between love and lust, the OP will learn it over the coming years :)

This is like the "Crazy Girlfriend" thread, but from the reverse perspective and with a dude.

I love it.

Derp, you need to get this girl. If you were this in live after one day, clearly she is the one for you. Send her one of your fingers to show your dedication. Women love dedication.

no no, you've got it all wrong, you need to show her that you have good taste, place a horse's severed head on her pillow while she sleeps, she'll see that you're obviously a man of tradition, and good taste in cinema, and immediately fall for you ;)

There's some crazy hormones partying in you right now. They will give you emotions and ideas that you would be best to keep in check if you can.
Sorry, but this is just chemical/biological, and it will sort itself out in about five years.

By that time you may have the gumption to just go up and ask her out directly.

Partyin', partyin' (Yeah) Partyin', partyin' (Yeah) Fun, fun, fun, fun Lookin' forward to the weekend.

Friday is affecting me.

Upvote!...oh wait this isn't Reddit.

Imagine if it were. Oh goodness. Things would be getting pretty ugly for OP.

It sucks that your first crush ended so badly but the way you handled it was not ideal. But you can hopefully learn from it before making the same mistake too many times.

If it's any consolation, you probably weren't actually in love and when you do get your heart broken by somebody that you truly love, it will make you wonder how you got so worked up over this. It's a lot worse.

Well, this was a mistake. I'm only 15. Experience comes with age. I don't blame myself or anything, but I occasionally just miss her.

Just so we're clear....you are aware that knocking on the door of a girl you met at a shindig for days on end without a response and then pedaling toward her with the full force of your 15-year-old horniness and calling her a ***** for responding negatively is completely the wrong course of action, correct?

Just so we're clear. I've been 15 too. Just about all of the most awkward, embarrassing and dumb things I've ever done were at that age. Your hormones will level out, you'll learn the difference between "love" and "woody," and you'll learn how to interact with the wimmenz without being weird and all stalkery about it

You'd be amazed what a good dose of hormones will do to you. I remember the exact feeling he's talking about. It is very close to a fight or flight adrenaline dump, for some reason, except you don't actually fight or flee so it makes you feel bad. It doesn't even have to be someone you know. I'm sure that, at some point in your life as young Munji, you felt something similar.

Love? Maybe not. But it happens. Just a part of being an adolescent human.

To the OP, I would just realize that you made an embarrassing TalkBass post, that we all make embarrassing TalkBass posts, that your feelings are going to suck for a while, that you'll always remember them, that you'll move on and laugh at how ridiculous you were. and how much you've learned since then.

No more energy really need be expended.

Oh, don't worry, I've been there. It's weird how teenagers think they've found "the one" before they've had a chance to see what else is out there. It's just frivolity to imagine that someone you date when you're 16 or 18 is going to be around the rest of your life. At that age, even your own identity isn't established, so how do you know what you really like in a mate?

That said, I do know a few couples who married their high school sweethearts, so what the heck. The problems usually arise when one or the other turns 21 and wants to go out and "have fun." Sometimes it happens a little later, but it happens. I think 25 is a good age to start thinking about "permanent" relationships.

+1. Honestly, nothing could have been gained by knocking on her door. NOTHING. Ballsy move, but... That is a guaranteed awkward moment. Girls don't like awkward moments. Nobody likes awkward moments. With girls, you have to think things out. "If I say/do this, could there be some freak way that she takes it the wrong way?" Because let me tell you something: THEY WILL. Not because they're trying to be mean to you, or that they are in any way immoral, but girls are more sensitive than guys, and you will learn that. With relationships, ALWAYS look at the cause, and what the possible effects are.

Hi everyone! I turned 15 last december. I have always made fun of teens who always keep bitchin about "love" and how "their life sucks", writing these terribly annoying emo statuses on facebook and everything. Whenever I talk to my buddies i'm all like "Teenage love? Pff... You kidding me? Total ********. I hate all that stuff. Why not go do something more interesting and useful than spending your time in that?"

Well...

As I mentioned earlier, I turned 15 last December. This March, the thing I feared stroke me. A friend of mine brought a friend of his who is a girl to a public event where I was. We spent some time all together in a group of 4-5 people, had a lot of fun. That day, I came home late. I got in my bed and suddenly thought of her. I instantly had a hard adrenaline rush, butterflies, dry mouth, i felt like my heart would jump out of my chest. I was sweating. I thought to myself "What the **** is happening to me? It feels horrible. I hate this ****. Am I sick? I can't handle it!". And suddenly I came to an epiphany: "Holy mother of crap! I'm in love! What should I do?!" I could't sleep that night. My bedsheets were all covered in cold sweat.

The next day, I found her on facebook and sent her a friend request. After a week, she still hadn't answered. I was so nervous. This was the first sign she didn't like me. But I couldn't get her out of my head. I wanted her too damn much to let go that fast. I got my guts together and knocked on her door. Nobody answered. I did it several days in a row. After the last attempt I got on my bike and sadly and at the same time kind of angrily rapidly started pedalling towards my house when one of a sudden she appeared on the street. I rolled towards her. Suddenly she started hysterically shouting at me stating that "I am stalking on her and that I want to rape her". Rape?! I'm 15 and she is 14... Really what the heck? I was shocked... The pretty cute sweet girl that was smiling at me while laughing like a kid and looking at me with her beautiful shining green eyes just a week ago... Being a total *****... I got onto my bike, put my headphones on, set "Master of puppets" and climbed up the hill to do some mountain biking to relax, disappearing in the fog... I forgot her soon after, but now, when I remember all this, I suffer, and I miss her, not the ***** on the foggy day, but that sweet green eyed blonde...

Thanks for taking my ****, TBers, really had to vent.

Post your stories on this thread and get it off.

Try getting to know a girl like the back of your hand, finding out she has the same life goals as you, texting her all the time, her texting you all the time, laughing together, working together and generally having a blast together and then she just wants to be friends! Now that sucks!
But then again if it had worked out I wouldnt be with my current GF, totally worth the heartbreak.

First off all, I would like to thank everyone for their support. I'm grateful to guys like Ziltoid for his sarcastic criticism(no sarcasm here, honestly, thanks) and people like VeganThump who understand me.

As this thread is growing, I would like to tell the rest of the story...

Just after that awkward street situation, I went home and told the story to my dad, as I was afraid she could have told her parents about my "desires". He gave me that dad type of "stop being a *****" pat on the back thing, and told me: "I bet she does everything with guys, and then puts everything on the guy stating that he did it. Don't you ever mess with her, she will get you in some deep ****." After a couple of hours I went to our mutual friend, who is a great guy by the way. We had an open conversation on his doorstep, and he told me that she has done it with a plenty of guys before and that the guys had some serious problems. I'm so glad he told me. That saved my ***. I was so disappointed and sad though, cause I still liked her, while at the same time thinking "What a dirty ***** have I come across with?" I was totally fine the next day, though.
