First recorded song you ever remember hearing…

From before I can remember my mom always had a small transistor radio playing the latest hit songs on that tiny 2" (maybe 1 1/5"!) speaker while we hung out together. Typically outside with neighbors popping by to sit beside us in the yard and listen, too. I believe her dream was for me to become the next Elvis Presley.
Although I can't recall the first song, the song that impacted me the most was Just One Look by Doris Troy, I still like it to this day. It contains all the characteristics in music I still gravitate towards today, groove, harmonies, emotion, and space for the song to move and breathe. I found a video someone put together to share the memories

When I was a kid my uncle, who was a jazz drummer, gave me a bunch of old records. Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, etc. I can't say who was the first. But I absolutely remember Love Me Do, and I bought the 45.
"Elvira" by the Oak Ridge Boys.
Any time that song came on the radio, I would scream bloody murder and cry like the big, fat baby I was. Still kinda gives me the creeps on the very rare occasion I hear it come on.

I have no idea which was the first, but I do have some evocative memories of hearing certain tunes at a very young age:
- my parents' record collection in the early- to mid-1960s included Sparky's Magic Piano, Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore, the first Getz/Gilberto collaboration, Space Songs by Tom Glazer & Dottie Evans, and The Beatles' Rubber Soul. Those albums were pretty much all I listened to at home from age -- uh, I dunno, zero? -- through age 8 or 9. I can vividly recall sitting in the basement listening to those albums from a very early age...like, long before mom & dad entrusted me to be able to operate a record player.
- I have an especially lucid memory of being in the public restroom at the marina where we kept our power boat and hearing "See You In September" over the muzak system there. This probably would have been 1966, so it must have been The Happenings' version. Because that memory is so powerful I wonder if perhaps this was the first recorded song I ever heard outside of my home?

I am sure I heard others, but 16 Tons (Tennessee Earnie Ford) is one that caught my ear and stayed with me.

I can't pinpoint the first song, but I know that when I was a little kid I was a big fan of "Maxwell's Silver Hammer." There was also a ton of Jimmy Buffet being played on the record player or CD player, unsurprisingly for South Florida.

"I'm a Bitch, I'm a Lover" by Meredith Brooks in 1997, I remember it playing in my mom's car on the radio. As a kid I thought she was saying she was a bench, which I didn't get.
The first I remember singing along to constantly in my parent's car as a four year old was Charlie Pride's "The Snakes Crawl at Night" totally oblivious that he wasn't actually singing about snakes 
Dirst memory of a recorded song are Electric Avenue and Mr Roboto (I guess the vocoder made an huge impact on me).

I'm sure my parents played recorded for my siblings and me. I do recall a Burl Ives album that included "Eating Goober Peas."
But my first clear memory of listening to a 45 was "Don't Mess with Bill," by the Marvelettes. That came out in November 1965, so I would have recently turned 6 years old. My older sister bought it.

I'm sure I'd heard other stuff from my parents collection of New Christy Minstrels and Firestone Christmas albums, but the first recorded tracks that I recall hearing are some of the early Beatles stuff - "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", "She Loves You" era. I had become aware of the radio and they were, of course, all the rage.
I still remember pondering - at the age of 6 or 7 - how the radio stations could get those bands in and out of the studio every three minutes... and then the bands would come back later and do tit again!

I'm not sure but it was my dad singing and playing his guitar. Whenever we were getting ready to go somewhere he'd be the first one ready then he'd sit down with his guitar and sing and play while the rest of us got ready. When he got out of the Army and we quit moving every few years we got a piano and he'd play it and sing while he waited on us to get ready. Up until about 10 years ago you always knew when he was content because he would whistle or sing a song while he was working. At 89 he's no longer able to whistle but he's still the first to be ready and still sits and plays his guitar and sings while everyone else catches up.

I was there. I was nine years old. My sisters swear they can hear my Mother screaming in the recording.
Hang on Sloopy sung by The McCoys. That's the song that comes to mind.Yeah, it's 3:30am and woke up earlier.
Watching the Ken Burns Jazz series on DVD and it just flashed on me the very first recorded tune I heard was this song by this legend. I think I might have been just about 2 years old and was on our phonograph player. Yeah, it might be corny to some of you, but it's still one of most upbeat and happy ones to me. That and he's just a great trumpet player. Any others have a way back one to post this day?

In the mid 50s when I was old enough to understand what was around me, big band music from WWII was still fairly popular on the radio. Oldies. So, I remember hearing Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington at around age 4 or 5. Also Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Perry Como..............the "crooners".
My dad got into the Elvis/Rock n Roll thing in '55. So, I remember that stuff. He bought the 45s.
One of my dad's favorites was Fats Domino and so I remember strongly Blueberry Hill. (To this day.........I love Fats!)
I remember Patty Page too.........How Much Is That Doggie in the Window (1953)? Also, the song Davy Crockett by the Wellingtons (1955).......featured in the movie, Back To The Future

Music has always been a very powerful thing in my life. These old songs were a part of my personality development.
Probably, You Give Me Fever by Peggy Lee (1958) was THE SONG that got me loving the bass!!!!!!!!!!!
