Cool! How was your gig? Was there a good crowd? It was our first time at the East Club but we've played the West Club a couple of times. The place was dead last night and the West has never been very busy when we've played there. We come down from Melbourne to play there and we like the owners pretty well, but it's just not that much fun when there is only a handful of people there. We play the West club again in a couple of weeks and I think we have 4 or 5 more booked down there but if it doesn't pick up I doubt we'll take anymore.

Don't worry about Stage Fright. I played my 1st gig in over 20 years last year. I was nervous for the first song and a half and I realized noone was going to throw anything at me and it's been a blast ever since.

The other thing is a shot of good Tequila always helps!:D

We made an effort to play only indoors this summer. June was our last outdoor gigs till September and really it should be October. Rain, Rain and more Rain this time of year. AS far as the heat goes, I have a Stanley blower that I bring with me and set up on top of my rig. That keeps the heat down better than any regular fan. You just need to keep it out of the microphones!

I've played the East Good Times once with another band one night during a jam night. It was about five years ago and we played one set.

Our gig at Sailor's is fortunately always a success. It just seems to be the best place for us right now. There's always a big crowd, they dance and they're always receptive to the band.

Sailor's Return is not a rock or blues bar; it's a high end restaurant the turns into a club at night. The croud is usually mid30's to late 50's.

Well, we're not a rock or blues band either. We play mainly danceable music geared more for females. Not a lot of stand and stare music. Clearly we are a better fit for the West club but there hasn't been much of crowd there either.

Any other good clubs down that way?

Oh good then. Sailor's might be a good fit for you then. Another well established music restaurant (but small) is Crawdaddy's in Jensen Beach.

You know that commercial about the potato chips....you can't have just one? Well, that's my relationship with tequila. So...yeah...we probably want me to know where to find the strings. :D

So - shameless plug for a TB friend's band. If ya'll are in the Orlando area and looking for something to do on the 4th, come check out Fight Another Day at The Haven at ~7:30. It's a full-day lineup of bands performing at a fundraiser for the Reclaimed Strings Project. We should turn it into an impromptu GTG.
