just got back from nammage. the fodera booth looked fabuloussome really beautiful instruments there.
the viceroy is really sweet. the movable pickup sounded very good when i heard it (albeit, briefly). there was discernible difference in sound when mike moved it from one position to another (groove vs. solo). pretty much effortless to move it too. so, very impressive.
nice to see the dudes, too.

Wow! Simply stunning. Amazing instrument. Congrats! Love the black hardware with that bass!
Sure are some beautiful basses coming out of the shop these days.
And, congrats to the Popester also.... that bass came out wonderfully! Unique instrument and design!

I think the VW is a great idea. All the Victor Wooten fanboys and fodera geeks that afford one :cough cough:: me), this opens a new option. I'm curious though, could this model, if proven successful, open doors for new options? Since they are made in batches, could it be a possibility to make them as "blanks." An alder body maple top bass seems to fairly popular, so this could be used as a template, and customers can pick pickups, finish, and inlays from there. This was just an idea I had. The only problem is there is alot of upfront cost I guess...

The Viceroy sounds great. From the little I heard, I dig the tone more than Mike's first bass. The tone sounds much more even with this one.
