WOW! That is very gracious of you to put that out there...I guess that will answer any questions anyone might have about your pricing structure. For what it's worth I used to get 50% off retail on my Warwicks, Spectors, and Laklands when I was endorsing them (years ago!). Despite buying 29 Sadowskys I never asked for nor received any discount of any kind and never expected one despite my patronage there. I think Roger may have thrown in a set or 2 of strings over the years but I have bought a LOT of strings from them over several years. I am about to ship out one of the last 2 Spectors I own currently and have several bites on the other one I have listed in the For Sales here. I no longer own any Warwicks or Laklands and I have 3 Sadowskys left and would love to have at least one more. I am a dyed in the wool fanatic about Musicman and own 2 SR5's currently. I NEVER even considered asking for an artist deal with them as I think their price for what you get is INSANE!! I get very good discounts on them from Bass Central and GC Pro as it is and never felt that they were overpriced at all. (BUT..I would LOVE to have Fodera make me a Fodera Ray 4 AND 5!!) However, with all that said, I play my YYS49 as my main 4 string and would love to have another Fodera or 2 (or 6) in my future!! I do not mind paying the cost of admission to own such a fabulous instrument and never even thought to question the pricing structure or the costs associated with owning a Fodera. In my opinion they are simply some of if not THE the best instruments that money can buy at ANY price!! Even though my experience in the past with Fodera did not work out over the long haul, I always appreciated the craftsmanship and the dedication that the crew had for the product and the process of ownership. When I heard about the YYS model I saw it as an opportunity to give Fodera another chance to knock my socks off and you delivered in spades!!! I could not be happier with my YYS and everyone who has played her has been blown away. One of my friends who recently played with Bela Fleck (a young prodigy here in the Wilmington, NC area named Taylor Lee) played her a few weeks ago and called it a LIFECHANGING experience...I totally agree! I take my hat off to you for your honesty and enthusiasm here and I appreciate that you so freely give of your time the way you do. I have nothing but the greatest respect and admiration for the skill and dedication that it takes to produce the instruments that you and the staff at Fodera continue to put out. I am excited and honored to be a Fodera owner and consider myself to be another member of the Fodera family for life now. Thank you and please pass along my sentiments to EVERYONE at the shop for me. I think during my purchase process through Donovan at Fretspot.com (AMAZING customer service!!!) I spoke to everyone there at Fodera except you and Vinny and was treated with professionalism and concern for my needs by everyone there. I applaud you all! Many thanks to you all for doing what you do!
Peace,
T
