Formula 1/F1/Formula One

However, without having to pass tech, we have no idea how "legal" the car was. Chip's team very well may have run the car slightly out of spec just so Jimmie could post a quick lap just to make the news... and maybe to pacify an unhappy Carvana??? :smug:[/]

Just watch what happens at Indy next year, Carvana’s investment will most likely pan out quite well IMO. I like the idea of Honda turning on party mode for that test though. ;)

Another wild qualifying session. Congrats to Lando, Carlos and George for great laps.
Lewis must be kicking himself. I expect he’ll be fine by Lap 10 or so in the actual race.
Will be interesting to see what McLaren can bring to the table tomorrow in the dry. Another McLaren on the podium tomorrow? I’m not counting them out but expect a Mercedes 1/2.

Cool to see Lando smiling so big! And a nice job by Sainz as well. Tomorrow's start is certainly gonna be interesting... and with fast guys trying to move up from the back, it should be fun to watch at this place where passing is tough.

Hamilton and Bottas have quick machines as does Max.

Hope to see the Alpines hang around up front.

If Russell finishes in the top-10 in dry conditions, I'll be stunned.

Another crazy race!
Sorry for Lando, but man did the team let him down this time. Ouch!
No way did I think Verstappen would finish 2nd.
So when does Lewis take his engine penalty? Can he afford to wait until Mexico?
We’ve wanted a close season for a while now, we’ve got one this year.
Whose the next unexpected podium finisher?
Strap in, boys, there’s still a wild ride ahead, I think!

The McLaren's have found speed. Lando and Danny will be back on the podium again and again this year. Btw, I loved how Lewis was quick to mention they (McLaren) have Mercedes power in his post-race interview today... haha! Yes, the new engine is helping... and it forced McLaren do more of a redesign on their 2020 car than any of the other teams, so I believe we're seeing them reap the benefits.

I was waiting for Gasly to bring it strong this season. He's had a few flashes... car seems to be solid... but wowzers, he's had more than his share of bad luck this year.

I also expected Checo to be a regular on the podium... and he probably would have been if Toto hadn't made the call to spruce up his team's cars. :D

Sooner or later, Alonso is gonna make it back on the podium... preferably at the top of it. That would be fun to watch. He's driving well this season and the Alpine seems to be a decent car, better than anything Renault's turned out in years.

I'd love to see Alfa roll the dice and have Kimi end up on the podium... that would be sweet. Giovinazzi seems to be qualifying better, as are the Williams boys. Can't really say the same about their Sunday drives... and no, Spa doesn't count as that was ridiculous.

A fresh livery for Turkey. Apparently, this was supposed to run at Japan as a way for Red Bull to say thanks to Honda. I like it, mostly because it's something new... but now there are two too many white cars on the track... might've been cool if they had gone with a scheme that plays off the red and yellow in the Red Bull logo? Lots of cool possibilities there.

What do you folks think of Red Bull's look for the weekend?

Tentative 2022 calendar below. I love that Imola's back, but I hope Zandvoort doesn't stick around too much longer (cars are too big for that place) and Miami looks like it will be a bore (lame street circuit).
