Verstappen, if he can keep his cool (riiiiiighhttttt.....), might be the big winner this year. He's fast, and his car is fast. He's been creeping up there. It's usually his impulsive nature that lets him down.

This pretty much seals it. I would like to see Hamilton get another championship this season.
That was nothing new for Max... but what's gotten to me lately is what an arrogant tool Christian Horner is. He's probably been one all along, but it's only blipped my tool meter recently. His steady "our guys do no wrongs ever" and "I'm gonna nonstop whine about every single thing Mercedes does" just grates on me.
Hey, Horner and Binotto -- don't cry foul because Mercedes' nerds are smarter than yours. And you guys are running flexo wings just like all the other teams, so don't try to call attention to the ones on the Mercedes. My take on the entire RedBull F1 enterprise is that it is “win at all costs.” That attitude has never been attractive to me. I understand that the game is about winning, but try to do it with a little bit of class, don’t look like you’re trying too hard, in cycling, they call this “panache.”
Toto has panache, Christian and Helmut and RedBull do not.
Christian and Helmut have been all-in on Max from the beginning because he oozes “win at all costs.” I didn’t like it when he was 17, I thought it would wear off (it hasn’t) and I don’t care for it at 23.
The way RedBull has treated every other driver in their orbit, except Max, has been ugly. If Christian’s attitude toward and treatment of D. Ric, Gasly and Albon didn’t flip your tool meter before now, I’d say you weren’t paying very close attention (Absolutely NO disrespect intended, the typed words display a more negative vibe than is genuinely intended. I think you’ll get what I’m saying and where I’m coming from).
Christian comes across as a smooth operator during in-race interviews and in the Netflix series. He has “it” when it comes to charisma on-camera. But, I’m guessing that working for him, unless you’re Max (and even maybe then), wouldn’t be all that fun.
He would get eaten alive in NASCAR. he wojkd probably be another failure like Montoya was. Open wheel racers usually have problems with NASCAR. Those big ole heavy stock cars aren't like driving an f1 car with insane downforce. Who knows though, some have adapted. Allmendinger does pretty well.He's in the wrong Series. You can't even try to accurately predict how F1 or Neck-Car drivers would do in the other cars... totally different approaches to racing, the mechanics, how the teams are involved and so much more.
It would be like trying to say how a cricket player would do in Major League Baseball just because both sports have bats and balls.

Im just speaking of past experiences where f1 drivers came over to try nascar. Kimi is another one that didn't really make it happen when he tried racing in the trucks.
Nascar is a completely different animal for sure. Jimmy johnsoms transition to open wheel has been a flop and he looks out of his league in indy.
Then again you never know until you try it. I though Juan Pablo was going to make it work, but then he ran into a track dryer under caution so..

If you're being lapped, or getting DNFs on every single race, it's not exactly being competitive.
I understand the pack dynamic, but being last can't be something they strive for. The amount of money going into that team is unreal, and the results don't seem to reflect it.

Two rookie drivers was a conscious, but bad, decision, IMO.
Maz-a-spin is there because his Dad is contributing big $$$ to the running of the operation.
Schumacher, I believe, has more credibility as a driver and might be doing ok under the wing of an older driver/mentor, but ultimately was brought in (also IMO) to attract sponsor $$ with his name recognition.
If they are interested in moving back to mid-pack they need a very different driver line up, which would then most likely cause the loss of enough $$$ to force them to fold.

Jimmie Johnson ran fast enough in his first oval track Indy Car test to have more or less contended for pole if he could duplicate that pace at an actual race. He’s also looked fairly respectable in his last couple of road races, but he danged well should given the team and equipment he runs with.
Montoya did at least win a couple of races, but it’s certainly fair to call his time in Nascab a disappointment.
However, without having to pass tech, we have no idea how "legal" the car was. Chip's team very well may have run the car slightly out of spec just so Jimmie could post a quick lap just to make the news... and maybe to pacify an unhappy Carvana??? 
I watched the Schumacher doc tonight = fair at best. For me, the intriguing storytelling simply isn't there. It's not at all compelling... nothing in the film pulled me in. Plus, I was reminded of the times Schumacher drove into his competition more than once when he knew he was in danger of losing a title. Talented driver though... no taking that away from him.
