Formula 1/F1/Formula One

Is AlphaTauri tossing in some red to the 2023 livery??? We'll find out in less than 12 hours! Can't wait to see what they do with those spiky designs!

I applaud they did something different by adding the red. While their cars have looked great the past few years, the liveries are quite similar. The combination of colors vaguely reminds me of an IndyCar from the 90s... maybe one of Stefan Johansson or Patrick Carpentier's old Alumax rides?

Anyway, here's how it compares to last year's...

I thought that last years livery was so bland , I did not even notice them on the track.
Much better this year!

Also interesting is that the only paint on the car is on the monocoque, supposedly in an effort to save weight. All the other black on the car is raw carbon fiber.

Probably a bonus to leave so much of the car unpainted to camouflage the important parts and/or parts that will be modified mid-season.

But it's a sweet-looking car. I hope they and Ferrari stomp a mudhole in Red Bull's butts this year.

I’m surprised to see Mercedes keeping the side-podless design going into 2023. Will. be interesting to see how it pans out this year.
