So- so back to the original subject of this post- my Greco "CS" build- here is a video of the first test with the new Horseshoe I got from Argentina. 4.5K thereabouts and sounds GREAT.. I'll post a better sounding demo when I get into my studio soon. This is from my (temporary) messy garage..
Sounds mean.
I guess it’s wired the equivalent of having the tone cap cut (I don’t think any of the Japanese Ric’s had that cap, and everyone seemed to snip them anyway).
As much as I love the sound of the Rickenbacker bridge pickup without that capacitor, there’s something that puts a massive smile on my face when you actually get your hands on a 70’s Ric that still has it intact.
Modern Ric’s, with the push-pull tone control, to engage/bypass that cap, are a brilliant modification.
