I considered that, it's not what it looked like. Again, I probably need to wrap my head around what each parameter actually means. I dove into it without a map or the GPS on, I may need to have a different strategy.

i was just thinking because you said you are not sure what things are supposed to do you could read up and find the answer there...

it's also possible that my editor is broken on your system, who knows? post a screenshot of one of your settings with the mouse on a control that you change and it does nothing and i can tell you if it should do something :-)

Well, for example, I understand what some of them were supposed to do. I was adjusting the "coarse" slider on a VCO that I thought was dominating the volume but I didn't hear a pitch change, for example. But I don't fully understand the routing so maybe I was wrong about that.

ok, open up patch number 15 from my folder 15square.prg. you should hear changes in coarse only on vco1 and vco2 the other two are off because the volume slider is at zero. does this work for vco1 and vco2? if not, things are wrong... maybe i could rename volume to "master vco volume"?

Sure, the functionality how SAW AMPLITUDE and SAW DECAY are related to each other is far from obvious. This is the reason why I included four examples on page 5 that explain all combinations of them.

Just got mine.

I sold my Deep impact to get this so was worried it wouldn't be as good.

The verdict? Tracking is exactly the same as deep impact on the DI patches. Others are kind of hit & miss but mostly usable.
Build quality of case is good, solid box but finish not as nice as DI.
Parameter knob feels cheap & wobbly, & its much more annoying to use than the deep impact one.

But overall I'm pleased, once I've got the sounds I want set up I won't care about the little niggles.

With the editors, firmware updates, and midi connectivity I think it is a better option going forward. Everything I have heard says they are really close. Given that, and all the extras, I am extremely pleased.
