For Mac users who might have been experiencing problems after updating to Catalina where the FI firmware update or patch writing doesn't work, please remember to update the driver for your interface too! This particular issue came up for @SICbass with his Roland UM-One MKII and there is an updated driver which fixes the issue:

Anyone else experiencing multiple editor crashes on Windows 10 since the recent big Microsoft update?

I can’t do much actual playing at the moment due to a spine injury so I plan on spending a chunk of time writing patches and sorting through many of the ones I’ve already created. Just out of interest, how many of you have access to MIDI control over the FI? I want to do some more interesting stuff.

Could someone please tell me how to create a poll within this thread so I can get an idea of numbers and functionality.

Since you're also working on the C4, a suggestion: maybe a wider net that includes FI & C4 would draw more traffic and also shine light on some useful real-world complications.

I guess I’d like to know what CCs people have access to. For instance, for ages I only had 1 CC via my Hub’s expression port so tailored my FI MIDI patches to use CC1. Now I have the MC8, I can use 4 different CCs in addition to the standard mapping of CC1 to create loads of variation within a single patch. I just wonder how many users will want/be able to use these.

The MIDI implementation in C4 is quite different (if not simply using external expression) and MIDI maps are per pedal so it’d be really hard to get any consistency in my patches for others to use if I add complex MIDI assignments. I’d like to focus on one platform for now and try and go deeper.

On another note, my deposit on my MIDIBass finally cleared after 5 weeks of being held due to security worries (apparently my invoice number of IRN-## triggered the US bank to suspect me of making payments to Iran)! Now I have to wait up to a year for it to be built. I think I’ll still use the FI with it but I’ll be able to access the glide!

I'm getting repeated crashes in OSX Sierra as of now. have the most up to date FIEditor... My FI updated to the new firmware successfully, as well. There is no users/username/library directory at all, though, so I'm not sure where to go from here.
