@lokki
How's the switching on the FI I? How do you do if you want to go, lets say, from patch #25 to patch #23?
Hey @lokki, sorry to repeat myself but you might have missed this question, could you clarify this for me please?

I'd wager that the creator of the pedal enjoys monetary income. The FI doesn't use any rare or hard to source components. There isn't any reason why they can't make as many as the market demands.
Right, but he may also enjoy going down in history as producing the most sought after and rare pedal ever made![]()

Maybe long press with one of the switches will put you in scroll down mode.
Yep, i raised that question early on this thread and Andras answered that he might implement some switching options depending on the way you press the footswitch. Now that the pedal is in the prodiction line i would like to know how it operates.Now that you mention that I recall there was some discussion of something along those lines, I don't remember what the final decision was (if it was announced).
Yes, this is something the original ADI has if I'm not mistaken. I guess something along the lines of the Molten Voltage One Trick Pony for the Bass Whammy can be done with the MIDI in on the FI.Yep, i raised that question early on this thread and Andras answered that he might implement some switching options depending on the way you press the footswitch. I'm not interested in midi controlers for live use, pedalboard realestate is a big factor, i want a set of patches with awesome sounds that i can scroll easily through them and choose the one i want for each song (or more than one in the same song). I'm a "set and forget" pedal user. If there's only the scroll up option then i would prefer to have only 9 patches like the original ADI, or at least a jack to connect an external switch pedal (single micro pedal, not a pedalboard) for scrolling down.
Yes, this is something the original ADI has if I'm not mistaken.
We actually have (at least for the prototype), with the first pictures we received in this thread. Let me go look for themThis pedal is smaller and I don't think we've seen an image of the rear panel, though.

EDIT: You can get a peak at the top here: Future Impact I.
ok, here is an update/clarification on the switch functionality from the dev:
I see a lot of discussion appeared about the switch functionality. Of course, I will follow basically the SB1 functionality, but extending it wherever it makes sense. The lack of the patch down functionality is a drawback of the original design, therefore I planned to solve that, but without an extra switch that would require enlarging the case by a lot. There were two ideas for this function in the list:
1.Pressing both switches at the same time;
2.Keeping the switch for longer time.
First, let me remind people how the original SB1 works:
In normal state the right switch is ON/OFF (Effect/Bypass). If you press Program Up then the PROG.NO will be increased by one, and it starts to blink. As long as it blinks nothing will change on the sound, you can increase multiple steps, “preparing” for the next sound. The sound is activated only when you hit the right pedal, which will not switch between ON/OFF this time, just activate the new sound and stay ON.
Therefore, (1.) is in contradiction with this functionality, and anyway that would be very tough to press two switches at once.
My plan is that the Future Impact will have three different modes, one is the original functionality of the SB1, and two extended modes. You can reprogram your device between these either with a SYSEX command, or with a special boot option when turning on the FI. Of course, selecting once one of these three modes the FI will always remember your choice.
1.SB1 functionality
2.SB1 functionality, extended with the following: If you want to move up the Program No. by a lot, press down the left pedal and keep it. After a while it will start to scroll quickly. When you reached the required number just release it, and press the right pedal. A quick double step (like double click with a mouse) will step down by one. If you perform a double step and keep the pedal at the second step, it starts to scroll down quickly. When you reached the required number just release it, and press the right pedal.
3.SB1 functionality, extended with the following: If you want to move up the Program No. by a lot, press down the left pedal and keep it. After a while it will start to scroll quickly. When you reached the required number just release it, and press the right pedal. A quick double step (like double click with a mouse) will change the direction of the pedal, and immediately perform a step down. At the same time the decimal point of the BANK NO. will light up, indicating that the pedal direction is DOWN. From this point on the pedal will always perform step down, until you change the direction again. Scrolling is possible either in UP or in DOWN mode. When you reached the required number just release it, and press the right pedal.
Found it, just edited my post above.I don't remember a clear shot of the panel, yes you get a sneak peak of it on that page, but it doesn't show you everything. If I had to guess, you've got Input, Power, MIDI In, MIDI Out, and Output, and that's all the room there is.

EDIT2: Here you go, much earlier in this thread: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

Those were shots of the prototype I believe, but I don't think much has changed, @lokki, @Andras Szalay?
Okay, COMPLETELY SERIOUS TL;DR post for all the n00bz:
- The website for this product is:
- There is a Facebook page
- Website says available January 2016, a post on the Facebook page says shipping before Christmas
- There has been no concrete information about when/how to order
- Sound clips:
- Dimensions are 155mm x 125mm, per this post:
- Pricing info is not listed on the website or Facebook but was posted here:
- Talk of a "list" on this thread refers to this:
- deep impact reissue!!! interested?
- This list was ALWAYS unofficial, and was only started as a way to show Andras how many people were interested. Your presence or lack thereof on the list means nothing with regard to actually ordering a unit. (Although PERHAPS an exception will be made for the list creator?
)

ok, let me answer a couple of those questions.Given the pedal has a knob labelled 'bank' it wouldn't surprise me at all to find it was all arranged in banks of 10. I've no way of knowing if that's right though.
And wait a minute, you're saying I could run my MIDI foot pedals (ala Moog Taurus but made with arcade buttons) into this thing and use it as the synth tone generator?
Don't ANYONE tell me this can sound close to a Mini MOOG, because then I'll be joining every official, unofficial list I can find.
this thing can sound like a moog i think. it can also sound like a ms-20Yes, you're supposed to be able to use it as a tone generator.
I'm hoping it gets as close as possible to sounding like one. Based on the vids so far, this blows anything else I've owned out of the water especially the Markbass (I've never owned a DI though).
