Co-signed. Four of my top 5 bucket-list basses comprise a color collection.Lol. Yes you are chasing a color collection now. But theres nothing wrong with that!
I impose a 1 bass per year limit on myself. It's the only way to stop the madness. But if you have the money and aren't losing practice time to GAS, there many not be a problem.
The Pro's I have the Olympic white and the antique olive.
You NEED the Candy Apple Red Pro!!!
This is why:
Historically, Olympic White instruments tend to sound more "ceremonial". Kind of bass you would take to church, but not a greasy blues jam. The sound would just NOT work...
Antique Olive is more dramatic and, confusingly, cool. It's at home in a theater pit or at cocktail hour (Martinis, anyone?)
I'm sure you have gigs that fall outside those categories. A black P-Bass would work, but not for Chinese weddings or New Year, where Red would be preferred, as it is considered Good Luck and Happiness.
Candy Apple Red would work well for County Fairs, Childrens' Birthday parties and the aforementioned Chinese celebrations.
You NEED the Candy Apple Red Pro!!!
Yes, I do this kind of rationalizing A LOT!!!
well in that case, the 3TS is most versatileYou NEED the Candy Apple Red Pro!!!

I rationalize it in the following way.
My habit(s) could be hookers and blow, or antique cars. Those seem more destructive/expansive. A few grand tied up in basses (assuming you don't have to go into debt to get them) is no biggie.
Help me TB-wan. You are my only hope
