#28 -Welcome Aboard Deepsouthshore!

That is a beautiful bass! I must have looked at it 50 times on reverb before I pulled the trigger on mine. Even after mine was on its way, I would still go an look at it. I was amazed it stayed up as long as it did!

Congrats - now feel free to go back to obsessively tracking the shipment progress.....

just read the news article that CITES is (likely) allowing finished musical instruments to be bought and sold internationally starting in late november. so does this actually mean we can purchase from japan, ussr, etc. with no worries that the fretboard or body contains any kind of 'flagged' wood (besides brazillian rosewood)?

i know that the "basses" forum has the CITES sticky at the top of the page but there seemed to be a few 'snippy' individuals/posts that made me want to turn here where things are a bit civil. plus maybe geoff will offer his view (as a builder) on the CITES policy being relaxed...

Chuck I guess It's a GGI weekend!! Played my GGI6 all weekend!! Genz Benz Focus 15 with a Aguilar GS112 on top!!! Bergantino B amp set to a Ref 322 Friday, Saturday in the pics through a Ampeg on stage!! Sounded incredible!!

Things are looking up, but I want to discuss this with my peers before doing something official. I might be able to make some cocabola basses for export again. I cancelled a couple of Japanese orders a few years ago.
DANG if they do that it'll eliminate my reasoning for getting another GGI6!!! LoL!!!!

I guess I can now be called a bonifide member of the G. Gould Club!!! Got hooked on the graphite necks by a 96 Modulus and I must say I'm totally excited by the light weight of this 6string and just like the modulus, every note speaks equally well. No Dead spots or extreme loud/soft areas. I'm extremely happy!!

Someone giving out #s here???!!
