My M2500 project - almost done...

WRT wiring, for OMG capacitor values I found that this is quite critical, small changes can make a lot of difference. I just finished exploring OMG mode on my L-1500 and saw (in circuit simulation) and actually heard rather awful results with too small values (less than 100nF for L-series MFDs and for the underwound M pups it'll be probably more than that). Too small caps produce a severe low-mid peak (~300...500Hz) instantly followed by a drastic notch from where it settles to the final -6dB level (halved signal). A mellower transition can be had with an added series resistor (2.2k ... 4.7k) to the cap.My M2500 project - almost done...

I remember you were thinking about using something like 47nF but I would excpect it won't work well without a dampening resistor. Probably easiest way is use some hookup wire and crocodile clips to find out the best capacitor values and any required series resistor. Good luck and happy tweaking.![]()

Hi guys, maybe not the right place here for asking this:
Which software do you use to enter and keep your bass guitar scores ? I am on a trial with Guitar Pro 6, but is there anything better or dedicated for bass ? I don't need the string tabs with fret numbers (except if it's designed for a fiver), so if possible, I just want to use a classic stave in the key of F, with a transpose function. Thank you...

One 3 way to switch between neck pickups and a 3 pole on/off/on switches between humbucking, single and OMG.
Try TuxGuitar, it's free (Java-based) and works on Windows, Linux, and OS X. I've just played with it, not sure how it compares to Guitar Pro for a serious user.
