that was fun......plenty of p thump, very resonant, almost like a piano for lack of appropriate verbiage. Some dislike the string spacing, but i don't mind it at all.
LB-100 owners--anybody else have a hyperactive E string? My pickups are maximally angled to lower the E pole and raise the A pole. But the E string still goes BOOM! I'd like better balance string to string. Flats on there (LaBella or Sadowsky, can't recall). Experiences? Ideas?
I'm officially hooked on G&L. The 1505 I've been playing is like a dream. The neck, the body, the tone.... oh that MFD tone... I can't believe it took me so many years to try one out. The issue with the nut is not even audible when amplified. 
However, I find myself REALLY wanting a neck pickup. The 1505 cuts through like a razor but I feel like I'm missing something. Anyone else have this happen to them? The 2500 has really got me interested.
EDIT: I have got the bug.. i've spent the last few hours oogling over G&L basses. The G.A.S. is strong with these. I want an SB-2, a 2500, a 1005, oh man.... this is gonna get expensive.

Wow, that's beauty! The more research i do, the more G.A.S. comes my way. These things are h-a-w-t!!!! I'm tempted to put mine on the trade block for a 2 pickup version.... is the hardware on a Tribute anywhere comparable to a US or should i just hang on to the 1505 and save up for a used US 2500? I played the 1505 and my '97 Roscoe Beck V last night, and besides the obvious difference in tone and sheer power of the pickup, the 1505 was so comfortable. I've always been a wide string-spacing j-bass guy and the RBV neck felt like it was just massive compared to the 1505. That seems really weird when just a few weeks ago all I would do was play the RBV (it had been in the shop over a month), and the neck felt "so perfect"... now it seems huge.

i have the same problem with my RBV, radius is a little flat for my taste, too...
I never even noticed that until I put the 1505 in my hands. The RBV was my "dream bass". Uh oh......
The more experience I have of G&Ls, the more I see them as the instruments Fenders aspire to be when they grow up
This portion of Doctor J's earlier post is EXACTLY what I'm thinking. I've played nothing but Fender 5's for the last 18 years! Little late to the G&L party....
The original strings lasted exactly 2 days, I replaced them with GHS Precision Flats (a long time favourite of mine).
My E string also went boom, and it felt like the G string was weak, so went down on the E side of the pu, and up on both the A and G side.
On the G side of things, the pu was closer than I thought it should have been, but I got the the evening of tone throughout the fret board.
Did you like the stock strings? I didn't at all, I still have em when I want to move to nickels but maybe I'll get a pair of Slinkies for it

My beloved M3500 is on the block because my fingers can't handle 5 strings (and because I have to fund a Warmoth project). Thought folks in this group might like to know. This is the only one of its kind that I have seen.

I didn't like them at all. I had a new set of the GHS standing by, so it was an easy remedy, I certainly didn't like those original strings (I forget who makes them).
I've never tried Slinkies though.
OK, this is getting a little crazy.... I LOVe this LB100. I played it last night at my gig and I took three basses. I played the LB on the first set, switched to a different bass on the second set and couldnt wait to switch back on the third. It is SO alive and harmonically rich! I have NEVER been a P Bass guy but this bass is the one that has turned me.
