Just picked up my LB-100 from the tech: set up with 50–65–85–110 Pro Steels, the cavities now fully shielded, the Dimarzio Model P pickup fitted — and one other alteration for the eagle-eyed.....

It's playing and sounding fantastic, absolutely effortless. And more versatile than I was expecting — there's more warmth available. Perhaps I'll be able to put Chromes back on my SB-1, and not have a gap in the tonal spectrum between the two basses. Hmmmmm.

This freakin' bass and paint job. Got it just a few days over 4 years ago and I love it still. Luckily it sounds as good as it looks.

Don't critique my slapping hand. This band is the first one I've ever slapped in, it's a work in progress.

Well, my L2500 (Sparkle) has a new home is SoCal.
(And I've a Ric 4003W arriving Monday)

I still have my fallout trib, and am piecing together a vintage 80s reverse sickle head neck, married with a modern LB 100 body, to install THE prototype for the SB1 splitcoil.

And G&L in my blood.

He's been lurking in the shadows so likely he's aware

It must be said, I will miss her dearly!
But the 4003W is lustworty also.
The wait is killing me.

I must also state that the LB100 I'm building has a neck, that I built, and it's good to have it home, and will Wed it to a Leo approved prototype, that was gifted to a friend, directly from Dale Hyatt. To me, and that my friends.. is something special.

Perfect examples of the extremes in the fishhooks. I can live with the one on the left (LB-100), but every time I see the one on the 5-stringer, I flinch -- worried that it could somebody's eye out.

Is there any pattern there? Like, certain years had/have one and other years have the others? Or certain models? Or some other pattern?

Someday, I'm gonna have another G&L, and it would be helpful to know which to gravitate towards.

My '89 L-2000, '88 L-1000 and '93 LB-100 are much more pronounced than my '22 SB-2T.

The JBs tend to have a sharper hook, (JB in Himalayan Blue Frost) my L2K, M2K and SB-1 are all similar and much less aggressive
