G&L Club Part 7

2020 SB-1, Okoume wood body, black block inlays and custom leather orangish Snakey strap. Nobody nowhere will pull the same bass or strap out and I like that. Rock on my, my bass Brethren and Sistren :):bassist::hyper:

For me, the MFD-equipped Kiloton 5 does just about everything or more than 90% of everything. Can get the pbass thing in single coil mode with wide open tone or tone rolled back, can get the Stingray in parallel with tone up, can get front pickup j tone with the volume and tone back in the single-coil or parallel modes. It can be an enormous monster in series mode, but if you roll the volume and tone back, it's beautiful and thumpy. It's the most versatile bass I own and has the best neck I've ever played. Imo, ymmv.

Pic because why not.

tell me about the Kiloton on the right, is the body alder? Old school tobacco sunburst? Both beauties !!

Thanks man - yes you got it:
  • Old School Tobacco Burst
  • Alder
  • Indian Rosewood Fingerboard
  • Pearl Block Inlays
  • Tortoise Pickguard
  • Chrome Hardware
  • Medium C 1 1/2 in
It's a great bass.I think it's super versatile. With rounds and understanding how to use the tone and volume to tame the MFD, that bass really covers a ton of ground. And that finish has this dusty rose sorta tint that I'm not sure the pictures reflect.

Here's a couple from the original listing.

First gig last night with my new Kiloton...second set someone had been drinking so heavily he collapsed in the middle of the pub, then three separate fights broke out as people argued about how best to care for him, then the police and paramedics turned up...on the plus side I love the Kiloton, I'm not great at describing tone but it sounded rich and powerful, I think it is now my number one. I wonder if there's much sonic difference between my Tribute and a US model?

Not sure about sonic difference, but there are other differences. I've got a kiloton tribute I love.
But I got an option order SB-2, and now my poor kiloton doesn't get so much use because the neck on the SB-2 is just 'chef's kiss'
