Agreed... Forgetting your 212 criteria... I'd suggest that cab for ANYONE looking for the best bang for the buck in a portable package. It's hundreds cheaper than anything comparable.

Personally, I prefer a 10" to 12" speakers. I like the faster feeling response so I get the punch in the face and the punch in the gut without the mud that (to my ears) the 12" and 15" speakers bring to the table at stage volume. 8" cabs sound too tinny and hollow (again, to my ears and for my needs).
That said, I really like the sound of my BA-115 but as the volume, drive, etc. increase, the clarity of the 15" seems to fade much quicker than any of the 10" cab configs that I have.

Yeah the SVT 2x12 looks great. Nice suggestion.

It's between the Mesa 2x12 - most weight but probably best match with my Mesa tube amp

Ampeg 2x12 - nice balance of everything

Avatar 2x12 - cheapest & lightest.

I don't find 12s to be muddy at gig volumes, for me they have the best balance of punch & depth.

Yes the SVT212 does break up faster than my 410's, but the 412 doesn't break up at all at massive volume. I'm surprised that Avatar is cheaper... Don't know where you're located, but I have about every cab config you can think of in my studio and you're welcome to try.

I'll qualify my current feelings about the pedal with the fact that I was only able to play it through my DAW speakers and headphones so far, and I plan on bringing it to practice tonight. Also, when it comes to preamp pedals, I typically prefer warmth over full on distortion. And lastly, I only had my JB2 on me as the L2K is at the rehearsal space for now.

I love both of the fusion modes, but for different reasons. First, I went in thinking that I wasn't going to have much interest in channel A, as most reviews I had read said it was a little dry. But turning the bass pot up to around 2-o-clock and the treble at 10, it was extremely warm sounding, so I could see that channel as being my "always on" option.

As for the fusion modes, I think I actually prefer the hot fusion as of now, as setting channel B to low gain and similar EQ to channel A gives me thick and rich warmth, even when playing with a pick. However, if I used it, I would see it as my "always on" option. Cold fusion is much more practical for me as a true channel switch, where leaving channel A on is my clean mode and then mixing in channel B to bring more dirt into the signal for grindier stuff. I find that channel B on its own sounds a bit thin or brittle with little warmth. It's great to have that option in terms of versatility, but I doubt I'll use that much in my current band.

I'll let you know what happens tonight! I plan on using it both in front of the V4B, and then also trying it as a preamp bypass to see what I prefer. I'll need something to cheer me up after Army's UPS curse. What's worse is I even knew that I might jinx myself by typing anything about a NBD. Please, please, god of shipping and logistics, have mercy on me...
