Did someone mention L2K Blackburst and Ebony?

out of curiosity have tuo ridere matching headstock or black one?

In any case it's just plainly amazing. I'm not playing fretless but I envy your bass.

By the way after having bought the l2000 tribute I'm kinda spoiled. I love seeing other basses but I no more feel the need of a new one. Probably I'll buy an US made one at some point but really it feels too good to look for something else.

Here's G&L #2, #17 in the collection. It has a 2004 date on the body and I have to assume the neck is the same. It was pinstriped some time in the past by Jeff "Four Eyes" Beitzell (I'm going to try to find the back story on that). I was hunting for something with a maple neck and the L2K's were calling to me. Couldn't resist. #GASisReal

You probably don't want to have to play that gaudy thing in front of other people. I can help with that!:D:thumbsup:

I'm contemplating selling the L2K loaded body. Last week I put that fretless neck on my L1K and that one's fretless neck on my SB2.
JMHO here...temporary, reversible mods can be a lot of fun.

Permanent mods (like switching and then selling off parts of a bass) will permanently reduce the value of each bass that is so affected. Check the Classifieds for evidence. "All original" sells. "Modified," not so much.

Again, JMHO, YMMV.

Not opinion, that's fact. What's not as clear is how much market value matters vs having the instrument you want. ...especially for G&L's which are kind of shy in the market value department anyway :).

Ultimately, having the instrument a musician wants is what matters. It's a tool with it's worth defined by it's player. Anything else is opinion... or becomes a Signature Model.

View attachment 3262954 Finally got a JB! Best feeling jazz bass I've ever owned but after stringing my other two with Chromes, the round wounds on this are dull sounding to me. Looks like I am a Chromes fan since they seem to be the only strings I seem to like!
Nice Sunbursts on the other two. G&L has the best looking 3T Sunburst. Period. And I hate 3T bursts!
