I love that it's a big middle finger to anyone who visits it. He even addresses that it hasn't changed since '98 and if it ain't broke don't fix it. It really doesn't get much more broke than that site, love it!

While the L2Ke and El Toro have been legit I'd be wary on this SB2. He mentions it needs a fret leveling but it's condition looks way too clean for much fret wear. I suspect ski jump and the seller may or may not even be aware what that is. Then again, these days I ALWAYS suspect ski jump on a G&L 3-bolt.

Very good points, especially the seller's fret leveling disclaimer.

I also went through his completed auctions and noticed prices fluctuating. If the SB-2 didn't sell for a hundred less than it's listed for now, maybe wait 'til he relists it with a "Make Offer" and save some cheese? It's a beauty for sure, but ~$900 seems like the very top of the price range, even for a minty one. OTOH, if somebody really wants a clean one.....this is their golden opportunity.

The SB-2 sold for $899 today, hope for the buyers sake the neck is sans ski jump

Opened it up to see if there’d been any monkeybidness done,but it seems original.
The GC pic made it look like a 2-color burst,but when i opened up the case i was suprised to see a tricolor.
It’s in really nice shape, and i would like to ask y’all if these components look correct to you.
The bass is really lightweight,which i love,has the 1/2” nut,not sure about the neck radius,but it felt great.

Got to play my new bass at practice yesterday for several hours. The light weight on my shoulders was very welcome. The bass sounds fantastic,with a lot of definition and note clarity,especially with Labella flatwounds,but also a lot of warmth from the pickups. Practice amp was a Little Mark amp/VT pedal/Mesa Scout 12 cab.
I wasn’t sure i was going to like the 1.5” nut, but actually the neck is very comfortable (and fast!) for me.
Really loved having the J bass sound back again, it really works well for the bass/band sound i want to hear.
