I know that all clips except the last is guitar related but I though it might still be interesting for some of you. In the video I demonstrate how a dirt cheap combo of the orange micro terror and the Mooer radar can produce decent sounds in a very portable "ampless" kind of way. G&L L200 in the last clip:

Sorry for the bad guitarring and the typo in the video :)

I have a friend on this side of the pond who loves them and feels compelled to share with me every time he buys a set, but I personally have never tried them.

I've got Pyramids flats on my electric 12-string (guitar). Nice. I understand they sound great on a Hofner violin-style bass.

I've used and liked pyramid gold flats in the distant past,but it seems they have had qc issues the last couple of decades. (E strings dead on arrival seem to be the biggest complaint.)
They are a fairly high tension string too. I have been using Optima RB and Labella LTFF sets on a variety of different basses the last few years,and really like them both,as having a somewhat similar sound to the pyramids.(and also more limber to the touch).

Here's a brand spankin' new one. Played its first gig on Saturday and was a BEAST.

And I played through the same Orange Terror amp into a 4x10 Ampeg. Not my rig, but it was very great.

Cool stuff! That isn't the same amp that I played in the video though. I played the micro version of that, not the terror bass. But that thing is a beast though!

Great! We'll, I don't have a pic of my actual bass handy at the moment, but if you search for the trans blue L2500 with rosewood board then you know what it looks like. :laugh: I'll try to get some action shots at some point though!
