G&L Club Part 7

My JB-2 Tribute sounds similar to Ivan's demo.
If you listed on computer speakers, it's shy on low mids (to my ears).
With headphones it sounds nice, but in the band mix it needed more mids which wasn't working out all that well at rehearsal with an Ampeg SVP-CL pre-amp.
At home with an Ashdown ABM500 it sounded better.

Mine plays great and the action is as good as my Spector, Stingray, Lakland, etc.
It does feel a tiny bit cheap but $300 used with a hard case; it's awesome.

I need to search but curious about turning this into a P.
I gather there are P pups in either a soapbar or humbucker shell that can be installed in the correct location??

Edit: Corrected to JB-2

An SBD-2?!?! That seems related to an entirely different kind of low end!

:D

The dimensions are 4 1/8" x 1 11/16 " or 104.78mm x 42.86mm because you're from Australia

Legendary mate, thank you. Needed to confirm if I had a F*nder Active Deluxe J 5 (MIM) rerouted for the L2500 pickups that the new routes would be larger than the standard ones, and it looks like they will (only just!!!). The Noiseless J 5 pickups are 99mm and 103mm.

She landed this morning I have been bonding all day
I love this bass!
Still getting used to coming from a Jazz neck to a Precision neck but wow I'm in love. I was surprised at how much lighter the guitar is. The sound is all there booming. Fit and finish dead on the money! Very VERY HAPPY!!

Verruh nas! I have a couple more payments to make on the Kilo, then one of these is up next.

I'll jump in here too with the other color option on the Fullerton Standard. It arrived 3 days ago. I am amazed that G&L is producing such an amazing bass at this price point. It's not just a "great bass for the price", it's a great bass period.

I am amazex with the whole package, the build, fit, finish, sound, most of all the weight. It is so much lighter than my other guitars.
I was worried at first but as soon as I opened it up today and played it? Yeah all those worries went away. I want to thank you guys in the G&L club for sharing information about this great brand!
