Right on man, that's a great bass. Simple but powerful. I love my LB-100!View attachment 3511483 View attachment 3511484 And BOOOOOOOOOM
She landed this morning I have been bonding all day
I love this bass!
Still getting used to coming from a Jazz neck to a Precision neck but wow I'm in love. I was surprised at how much lighter the guitar is. The sound is all there booming. Fit and finish dead on the money! Very VERY HAPPY!!

I saw this on instagram as well...I'm quite intrigued
I did a little something
Yeah, that MFD P-pickup is brutal! Thanks for the nice comparison. Among these three I'm liking the JB2 the most. I found it to be the more balanced.
I really liked the sb2 with neck pickup soloed too (an SB1).
The new short scale seems to be a nice mustang alternative. I'm not liking the stripes too much. They remember to me the mustang fender used to make in the early 2000.
WOW seriously beautiful guitar Congrats!View attachment 3513087 View attachment 3513088 View attachment 3513089
New JB-5 just arrived on Friday and after a set-up and some new Pure Blues this is one beeoootiful instrument! Transparent orange on Empress, quartersawn maple (amazingly tight grain that shows on the fingerboard), white pearloid pickguard, pearl inlays, light tint gloss, model deletion. Very light and amazingly punchy sound. Thanks as always to Greg at Rocket Music.
That looks great! Congratulations!View attachment 3513087 View attachment 3513088 View attachment 3513089

Very cool! If the knobs are volume and tone, what does the switch do? 3 coil positions? That looks Awesome! I am digging the racing stripes.
Wow, that's really nice looking! Love the transparent finish, the pearl block inlays, and the matching pearl pickguard. The grain on the fretboard takes it over the top.View attachment 3513087 View attachment 3513088 View attachment 3513089

A shortscale Wunkay would be quite awesome, only way to justify a new bass to the wifeyVery cool! If the knobs are volume and tone, what does the switch do? 3 coil positions?

The wifey monitors your scale length?A shortscale Wunkay would be quite awesome, only way to justify a new bass to the wifey![]()

One question. Why delete the model name from the headstock? Not judging, I'm just curious why. I've seen a few others do that recently, too.

My matching headstock L1500 (2009?) has no model info either. That must have been G&L's decision.Minimalism I suppose. Happy to have folks know I'm playing a G&L. The model number seems unnecessary. Not any adamant position on the matter though.![]()
