G&L Club Part 7

^ WOW It's so hard to beat black and maple! Fantastic!
It sure is! Here's my old black and maple SB-2. My first G&L. Unfortunately I don't have this one anymore.

Hey I like black and maple too. Here's my newly acquired CLF Research L-2000 reissue.

Your CLF is exactly what I intend on buying towards the end of the year. I have a Pharoah Gold L-1000 that I bought last year and an L-2000 Tribute that I picked up last fall because it was cheap. The Tribute is a great bass for the money but a CLF or a really early L-2000 would be a worthwhile upgrade and damn if I don't love a black bass with a maple neck.

Wondering if anyone here has dropped the MFD pickups into a project bass?

The MFD pickups sound so amazing - was contemplating purchasing a set & maybe doing this sometime down the road.
That's how my G&L journey started: by dropping a split MFD into a Squier. It was love at first pluck.

And if they ever come out with MFD single coils, I will almost certainly try to fit a set into my Warwick Thumb.

I've thought about it a couple times. Can't find a routing template anywhere for them. And just haven't had the motivation to make one. Would love to try it sometime though.

I did the same, and put a MFD on my MIJ 88 Fender Precision. The result is stunning (especially considering the final cost of the bass)!
