This is one of the very few times that I’ll vote for tort.

    Love the tort, personally.
    What color is the bass?

Where's everybody getting these metal pick guards for the SB basses? I wish I had one.

I ordered one from pickguard planet. Fits perfect. Cost about $60 though.

Thank you... I didn't know that was possible. I put metal pickguards on all the guitars I can... helps reduce the noise. Thanks!

Now that I’ve had a metal one I just can’t handle plastic ones any more. They feel so... cheap

  9. Does anyone else think that the CLF headstock looks a bit too large?

Tough choice, they both look really good.

I am a huge tort fan and I love that tort. But the black integrates better with the bridge so, against my tort sensibilities :D, I'd pick the black one.

Another vote for black. Especially with that bridge.

I think the black pickguard completely removes the subtlety of the black bridge. It's just too much. The tort is a nicer balance.

Tort definitely with that blue. Gives it some extra pop and helps balance the overall look, imo.

That's how I'm starting to feel. I swapped out the chrome bridge for the black and the look does seem to jell better with tort. Plus when I take everything into perspective...WARNING Lakland content. I don't have a fretless Glaub so I'm swapping pickups to match pairs. IMG_2694.jpg
