After playing the bass for a bit it is truly amazing the condition this 25 year old bass is in. It is absolutely unplayed. The plastic is still on the control plate. I have had three of these over the years and this one is by far the lightest. I love these basses.
Great score! I'd like to have another one too. Fantastic organ-like low B. I think their secret sauce is the EMG's with the BTC tone stack. I used to run mine into a BDDI. Wow what a sound.
How do you feel about the EMGs relative to the MFDs?OMG, are they AOK?
OMG for sure. It's a totally different animal you know. I still love the MFDs and the L2500 but this is its own beast. Love it.

Absolutely. It's perfect. It's a great combo and with that beefy neck and sleek body it's a thunder cat but easy to get around on.
I've always, for over 40 years, been a Fender Pbass guy. I know they say it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks but I'm here to testify. I just sold my last Fender Pbass because I grabbed an LB100 that has now ruined Fenders for me forever. I love the fit and finish, the build quality is impeccable, and I can't believe how even across the board the pickups are. No looking back, my LB100 is hands down a keeper.
Beauty! I love the natural wood binding.
Not only bound, but with arm relief! Even I could probably love that edge, and I can't tolerate sharp Tele-style upper bouts on a gig.
IIRC, all they do for the natural binding is tape it off before painting. So, the edges are the same.

US I don't think you can get a Tribby in that color, definitely not with the binding.

I happened to play a used L2500 for sale today. It sounded and played great! I've never even touched a G&L before and I really liked it. It was missing the control cover and when the front three way switch was in the back position, all sound died. I've heard this is a common G&L issue.
im thinking of going back to buy it. Can you get a control cover? Any idea how to fix the "kill switch"? This was an old model as it had a neck plate, not the 6 bolt.

Curious to know why what appears to be a nice, well-documented 2012 one on Reverb hasn't sold in 2 yrs? Is it the color? The price? Or could it be the neck, being a 1.75" nut width and 12" radius? Wondering what others think. (no affiliation with this listing at all).

Could be the ridiculous shipping costs. I've shipped basses all over North America and never have one cost more than $150 Canadian (about $112 USD)
