i've gotta measure my L2000 again, but i think it's somewhere between 1.5 and 1.625 if that's possible, it's very comfortable and really flat front to back

Plucky beat me to the punch...how did you get 4 +1?

I had one really similar to that, from then.
It was the best L2X00 I ever had.
This bass is MIA and 18 years old (would you believe it?). 4+1 was standard in 1997 for both models: regular and Custom. I like the Fender-ish shape of the headstock. The neck is very chunky, compared to a #10...
I can just barley get a wrench on mine and it looks like the hole was routed to big so the rod is off centre and someone filed some wood in the hole so you could get a wrench on it at all. I'm not really happily with this. Got it in November, we'll see what happens.

I just ordered that same bass from Bass Central. They said it will be 8-12 weeks for delivery.
y was it not accessable?that is where I got my SB-2.
Make sure to check the truss rod over when you get it as mine was not accessible.
Must say Hopper at BC and G&L are looking after me so far.
Should have my bass back with a new neck in 3 to 4 weeks.
never heard why from G&L but the channel the truss rod was in was routed to deep.Wh

Really? I’m surprised, I have owned a few G&L American and one Tribute and they have all been the best quality you could expect. Thanks for the heads up;-)
