Just noticed that the switches on the Tribute L-2000 are placed quite differently to how they are on the USA L-2000
Looks like the G&L Tribute JB4 in turquoise mist is on sale for $299 again at MF, not just for the day.
I just bought one. I'm hoping a get a good 20 fret one this time. I was one of the very first to buy one of these in early 2019. The one I got was 21 fret (which you could not intonate) and had other issues. So it went back. Hopefully this one is a keeper.

I believe they changed the position of the switches on the US models, possibly around 2016, to the configuration in the upper photo. Earlier models and Tributes are like the lower photo.
And just like that, they are gone. I hope my order gets filled.

Frustrating that MF has JB and Kilotron Tribbies in stock and Sweetwater hasn't had any in stock for a while. I so appreciate SW listing weights. Any other G&L Tribby dealers list weights?

Aw, it's shy, it decided to spend yet another weekend at home, like a little child hiding behind its mother's skirts. Some exciting dates coming up: on the 19th, the bass will have spent as long in the factory getting sorted out as the factory took to build it in the first place, and on the 21st it will be six months since the factory confirmed receipt of the order.
One benefit of this long wait is that I've had plenty of time in which to taunt myself with thoughts of other basses I could have spent my money on - and those little daydreams all end at the same place: me thinking that what I really really want is a 7lb p-bass with a 1½" neck and an MFD pickup, and that this ridiculous process is the only route to my getting one.
Looking to join the club soon. I’ve been away from G&L since the 80s, but looking at the latest models I see the errors of my ways. Will post pics when it happens

I’m sure you are better off. No way they are selling the corrected model for that price. You probably were getting a the one you can’t intonate.
I'm all about 7 lb. basses but doesn't the ad for yours say 8.9 lbs?

About 7.5 lbs. and the neck was not so stable at first. It seems rock solid now plays really well.
Why did yours have to go back?
That's not my SB-1, that's an old advert for an LB-100 which I shared just so people could enjoy the photos of a pink p-bass. Mine was an option order placed by Rocket on my behalf, so no advert. When building it G&L failed to notice that the agreed specs included a quartersawn neck. It went back to get the correct neck fitted. I guess I'm at the bottom end of G&L's long list of people they need to satisfy. Somebody has to be.
