G&L color Poll: Help me choose!

Hey that Ruby Red Sb2 is my old bass. I currently have a LB100 with maple neck and mint guard. I may have to sell her. Stay tuned.

What color is your LB-100?

Redburst/rosewood/black headstock, with a black guard.

I was really considering Redburst. Some are awesome but some I don't care for. Too inconsistent for a custom order.

Out of your two I prefer ruby red w/black pickguard -- but that's my preference and I'm over bursts (unless G&L were to bring back the metallic redburst from the 90s).

One combo I saw on an ASAT SH bass in the past that looks great if you want retro: belair green w/natural body binding, maple neck, matching headstock and white pearl guard. I love how it looked but I'd never order it for me I'm into the finishes that show the wood - my most recent order was natural and I'm looking hard at clear red and whiskey.

Nearly included whiskey in the poll. Only reason I didn't is that I have a 1977 Fretless P in "Walnut" which is pretty much the same color. I feel like I should get something different.

Yeah, the old school tobacco burst should be really nice. I've got 2 L-1505's - and I love them.

That bass gets my approval. An L-1000 is a solid bass. I personally prefer it over P-basses.

Rocket Music is offering an L-1005, a 5 string version of the L-1000. I've only heard one example on it on you tube. It sounded fantastic IMO. If you know of more good sound samples of the 1000 or 1005, please let me know. Thanks.

I also took a few minutes this afternoon to record a sound clip using the Emerald Green L-1000 (Ash body, RW board). I needed to dust off a tune for a gig tomorrow, so the first part is some rusty "Hot Lanta" by the Allman Bros. The first pass is series, the second pass is parallel, and the final pass is single coil. Then I added some slap silliness at then end. Just to keep you on your toes, I screwed up the order here: it's series, single coil (very brief), then parallel. The little pops you hear are me changing the switch position, this was all one take and no gains were normalized. So series is louder, and parallel and single coil are more quiet.

Funny I was thinking the same thing. I ended up ordering an LB100 but this L1000 still turns my head.

Dear G&L, You are NOT helping. On the right is Go Mango (new Detroit R/T color) on the left is Hugger Orange. Digging the Mango. And you basically get a free matching headstock with these.
