Yeah, we're only a trio, but the wash lights really help tie in our stage look. Here's an acoustic show photo.I really want one of these but it may be odd for our big band.

I had one made last year from WD Custom and it cost me around the same..I like the black on white!Yeah, these tort pick guards are not cheap. I paid $87 from Pickguard Planet. I see tort pick guards on eBay all the time for $13, but they are fake tort. And they would not fit a G&L.
Yeah I just wanted something to change it up a bit. I have a black pick guard on my other two precision bass guitars now.I had one made last year from WD Custom and it cost me around the same..I like the black on white!
Are you pretty happy with the bass, I don't know what to expect, lm guessing the quality is about the same as Lakland Skyline basses, which is pretty good!Yeah I just wanted something to change it up a bit. I have a black pick guard on my other two precision bass guitars now.
Yes, definitely. You get a lot of bang for your buck with the G& L Tribute LB-100Are you pretty happy with the bass, I don't know what to expect, lm guessing the quality is about the same as Lakland Skyline basses, which is pretty good!
The swamp ash and that bridge add to the extra weight. You would be hard pressed to find a better bridge though. And yes, the necks are gorgeous IMO.Well I really like the bass, the QC is on par with Lakland Skylines which IMO is better than Fender MIM, the pickups are punchy and full, sound deeper than my Geezers in the Lakland which I like. I like everything about this bass, the finish, the vintage looking tinted on the neck. The fret ends are nice and smooth and the cherry board is beautiful against that tiny, what's really cool and different is the block inlays with no binding! It is a little heavier than my other 2 basses. I guess because the body is swamp ash? Anyway haven't put it down since yesterday and the Fender Flats sound killer on this bass. Such a nice bass for 539.00 with a gigbag, makes me wonder why Skylines and MIMs are priced much higher, this Tribute is just as good if not better!!View attachment 3708567 View attachment 3708568 View attachment 3708569

Thank you for posting these pictures! Good to see the Brazilian cherry fretboard up close. Is the white one swamp ash as well? G&L website still does not have the full specs listed but I thought I heard someone mention the body wood is different depending if it was a solid paint or a burst / natural. It is a little heavier than my other 2 basses. Swamp ash it is, basswood is light, the more I look and play this bass it’s still amazing me how good the craftsmanship is, it compares really well with the last Fender CIJ Pbass I recently sold but the fret ends on the G&L are smoother and more rounded, I love my Lakland Skyline and it’s been my main player since I had it but I do rotate my basses from gig to gig, easy when you only have two, now three. The weight shouldn’t be a problem because I stand and sit each set because I’m a lower left leg amputee but it is the heaviest bass I have now, maybe a pound heavier than my other two, it’s not a boat anchor anyways...Thank you for posting these pictures! SB1 has a smaller, more contoured body and a different pickup from what I understand. Here's a video comparison.Anyone know the difference between an SB 1 and the LB 1 ?

Ah, but you lose that high E and lose the six bolt neck. Also likely heavier. I honestly think the JB-2 is the better configuration. And, it looks all business. Everything is functional.According to G&L's comments on one of their instagram posts, they just haven't had it added to the website yet. They are currently shipping to dealers. 2 of the dealers have already received them and have them listed on ebay and Reverb. They have also released a Tribute JB that was really hard for me to pass up. Would love to sell my JB2 and replace with the JB.... I just like the Fender Jazz shape body more.
Did you have to send a tracing of the original guard or do they have a template for the tribute since they already made it for you?View attachment 3551781
Ordered a brown tort guard for it.
