Actually being in Orange county they farmed Oranges . Placentia was a farming town, fullerton was less so .
When they went to make boarders some were close to a fullerton and Placentia boarder some would have preferred to be in fullerton .
Hence why the boarders are kinda goofy
Not sure how true that is , its how I understand it.
Placentia is mostly houses some K-12 schools very little industry, fullerton has two colleges air port lots of industry.Decades ago, this was true. Now it's all just a giant urban sprawl
Talk about diluting your brand. There's a reason you don't see "Fender" prominently on a Squier headstock and why you don't see "Sadowsky" prominently on a Metro Express. For me, the attraction to G&L has been the iconic and functional bridge, the pickups and the quality control, and I'm talking about Tributes. The bridge is gone, don't know about the pickups or the QC.

Hi folks this is quote right from G&L
“Placentia Series:
The Placentia Series is a new addition to the G&L family specifically developed to address new players wanting to get a high quality yet accessible G&L guitar or bass.
This piece of cheap generic chinese junk is a stain on the G&L name and legacy.
Don't belittle Squier like that.

“Placentia Series:
Why “Placentia”? G&L Guitars is located on historic Fender Avenue which runs between Fullerton and the City of Placentia.
You are certainly giving this a lot of thought.Wait, wasn't the Tribute range originally introduced for that purpose? Are Tributes no longer "accessible" price-wise? At the moment, it appears that the street price difference between a Placentia jazz, and a Tribute JB is $50. That's pretty close, doesn't seem like enough to warrant an entire new cheaper line.
Conclusion?....substantial price increase coming for the Tribute range to narrow the price gap between the Tributes and the USA line? That seems the most logical to me, anyway. If I were in the market for a Tribute G&L, I'd be thinking seriously about pulling the trigger now.

something to consider is this is just a MF exclusive offer.
Well GC owns them so, I’m not surprised.I saw it on guitar center
