Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

How's this look? It's the cavity of my SR505.

I have my 700rbII and a power conditioner in a 4U SKB ata case. I was hoping to put a graphic EQ in there as well, but I'm not sure if there's enough clearance for the fan. With the 700 on the top rack the space above varies from 3/4" to 1 1/4" to 1 3/4". Is this enough overall space above the fan?

Not NCD today, but a couple weeks ago I traded my 810 for three cabs, one of which was a 410 RBH. And yesterday was NAD, picked up an older 250ML which I'm going to use for bass. It has new speakers and seems to handle low freq's just fine, if I crank up the lows (for bedroom practice purposes only). However, I've got an older Franken-210 that I am planning on wiring in stereo to take advantage of the 250ML's stereo powered outputs. That should sound pretty tasty...

Brought the lunchbox up to my practice space and very briefly used it to check out the 210 and my 410 RBH.

:wideyed::wideyed::wideyed: Whol - lee - crizap, what did Mr. Gallien fit inside this little box? Only running one half (50w) of the thing into the RBH and it was rattling the walls! I have two 410's that are 8 ohms in my church's theater and I can't wait to run this through them - and then hit the stereo chorus. The OD/distortion sound awesome, so do the other effects, but it's the volume this thing produces that just blows me away (not the internal drivers, only external ones). I have a dual-button footswitch that works with it, next practice should be a lot of fun.

That's cool Razman, never would have considered running bass through an ML. I've seen a few of them offered locally, but I thought they sounded awful with a guitar through the internal speakers (and I'm not really a fan of chorus.) Might have to grab the next one I find as a curiosity.

This one had been sitting at my nearby indie shop for several years. They replaced the speakers with brand new Eminence's and they seem to handle bass pretty well - even with the lows cranked on the amp and my bass (have to be to really hear it). It's a perfect bedroom amp for my apartment, but I can't really justify the price for just using it only for at home. It sounded pretty good through the 210, so I'll be able to use it in our practice room. I'll keep my pedal board packed away since I won't be needing my MXR M80's distortion, this has it built-in.

In a pinch I could use it as a backup as it has a DI and could run my church's two 410 Hartke cabs if my main amp were to die. Some stage volume is better than none, been there before. I've also got an Ampeg PR810 on layaway at another local shop - it is divided into two 8 ohm sections; I'm curious as to how it would sound with this thing.

As for chorus, I like fooling around with it at home, but in this case I wouldn't use it live. Chorus does weird things to low frequencies; if I had to use one I'd find a pedal that had a crossover point - I think Peavey made one a long time ago, there are others I'm sure. It's not something I need for bass, but I like guitar with chorus. Same for the built-in delay/reverb; might sound cool for accenting parts of songs, but I wouldn't use it a lot. It's neat to have the bells and whistles there, however.

Think I figured it out! Loose jack on the bass. Tightened it up in the cavity, and BOOM! back to normal. In the process, I found that one cable is just slightly more wiggle prone on its barrel by the plug. I can still noise/cutting if that barrel gets tapped (I was tapping to test), but unless I'm trying, it's all good. Thanks guys!

Glad you found the solution. I've had a number of 1/4" jacks that appeared to be fine just go bad - time & use? Replaced them and all was well. BTW, that black paint in your control cavity is the shielding. Rock on...

Nice.

I'm mostly running direct with in-ears these days, or doing coffee-shop stuff with my little Rumble 100.

I miss getting to fire up the G-K/AudioKinesis rig in anger, in either the 200 watt or 800 watt flavours. Gotta bug our bandleader to book some more away dates. Those are about the only times I get to play with an amp and acoustic drums lately...
