Geddy Lee????? I don't get it.......

Geddy is why my first good bass was an '80 4001 in jetglo. For about three years, I studied and revered his playing. My love for Rush has faded for a number of reasons. I see no problem with hating Rush. I still like them, but I don't love them (I saw them 3 times between '79 and '82). Geddy's a great player, and each member of the band is at the top of their field, but the end product is somewhat sterile to me these days.

This has to be the prettiest jazz bass ever.

It was his mother's mispronunciation of Gary actually. And that is a very sexy jazz bass in that pic, I remember Geddy with that bass in the Fender ads, I think it was for Fender's 60th. I thought it was an amazing looking bass but I had never seen him playing it. Thought he was given it for the ad which doesn't seem very Geddy.

Well, OK. Point is that caring about RUSH has very little to do with digging Geddy's bass parts. At least in my mind. I don't dig too much of Rush past 1980. But, it doesn't matter to me. Geddy is in the top ten all time for rock bass players.
