I'm thinking about getting the rack kit for my Shuttle 9.0. Where does one actually get the kit?

I recently purchased a small 2 space Gator Rack so may stick the 9.0 in it.

So you don't have to read 28 pages of BS about Markbass, Carver or Boogy - For $200 more J-U-S-T buy the 9.0 and be done with it!! I jumped on the 6.0 band wagon and soon found myself G.A.S.ing for more. Luckily, my shop gave me a reasonable amount for the 6.0 (I leased) and I picked up the 9.0 as they gave me another very reasonable deal.

As far as the wasted time about Markbass’ on this thread - they're ugly. Forget the guts and tone - they're ugly and if you don't think aesthetics has anything to do with why we purchase what we do go back to Consumer Pychology101. Sorry, forget what they sound like – I can never have that puke yellow and brown color anywhere close to me. Uggggg.:spit:

That reminds me, does it make any difference if I link the cabs via the input/put jacks or run each cab on its separate output from the Shuttle 9.0?

I've got to say, after spending some time now trying to dial in the 9, it REALLY has a nice tube amp sound to it. I've been surprised that at pretty much all settings, it has a warmth to it that I didn't experience when trying out the 6. I haven't tried cutting the gain to minimum and cranking the pre volume...that may make for a more hifi sound. I prefer the warm sound, though...it's reminiscent of all the tones I liked from the 70s or so. Compared to the SVT 4 I used to have, the EQ is particularly sensitive, meaning there is a wide range of tweakability there, and the filter switches add a nice quick change. The SVT 4 was a great sounding amp, don't get me wrong, but I think the 9 has a wider range of possibilities from it's 'neutral' tone with everything at 12 o'clock. Not to mention it's about 45 lbs lighter! And although both were tube pre's, the 9 seems more tube amp tuned than the 4 was.

I wish the Shuttle 6.0 had this warm voicing you mention the 9.0 having. I understand why the 6.0 was designed as it was. Figuring users would be running smaller,portable cabs...etc. But the 6.0 having 600 watts makes it so usable with big cabs too. Just wish it did more 9.0 vibe. I certainly don't need 900 watts ! But would love a warm lower watt Shuttle.
