Genz-Benz Shuttle Megathread: Part II

If you "daisy chain" a pair of Shuttles to drive a pair (or foursome) of cabs, what connections are used? Bass instrument into the first, obviously, but then, Tuner Out plugged into Aux-In on the second head? Or Effects Loop Send from the first into Effects Loop Receive on the second? Or DI out in XLR converted to 1/4" for Aux In?

1200 watts, 7.5 lbs. Sweeeeet. Isn't that the Walter Woods Blue Light space?

I use an MXR-M80 pedal with DI & "color" switch that is a never 'leave home without it' piece of my rig. It also has a second 1/4" output so I can go straight into both 6.0's.... one powering the 212, the other a pair of 112's... 1200 watts of pure joy... as soon as the 2nd 6.0 shows up on my doorstep!?!?!? LOL....

Used mine live for the first time on Saturday night in Moscow. Wondering if I may have the only one this side of the pond...
Anyway, the sound guys couldn't believe I wanted to use it, when an SVT4 was provided. Then they heard it...through the Classic 8x10 it sounded amazing. Very clear, plenty of bottom end, and enough headroom to cope with the myriad of effects I employ. Easily cut though the chaos of my band (three guitars, keys, insane vocals), never struggled to be heard. Overall, loved it. Being able to take it in my hand luggage on the plane is a definite bonus.

Those RSLED's aren't so bad...make it stand out anyway:)

i had an svt4 years ago.. i sold it.. i really like the way the small shuttle looks on top of your 8x10.
Its weighs 10 x less than the svt 4 is way smaller and personally easier for me to get a sound.

Well, I couldn't wait any longer. I gave in and ordered a Shuttle 6.0 and NeoX212t. I used to own and Neox212t and it was a great sounding cab. I have my issues with it (see: top edge handles), but I remember it had a sound that I really liked. I'm going to do a full a/b on both the Shuttle 6.0 and NeoX212t with my LMII, UL410, and UL112. The combination that sounds the best wins, and the rest gets sold off or returned.


EDIT: I canceled my order for the Shuttle 6.0. I've been playing around with the LMII tonight with the UL410, and I just like the LMII too much. I'll admit the UL410 sounded damn good as well, so the Genz Benz NeoX212t is possible that it has met it's match.

I think I'm going to mount a couple of these on mine:

I do like the edge-lift handles, but lately have been needing to carry the Neox212t up and down stairs, and some side-mount handles at a good balance point would just make that a ton easier. I'd love to do recessed handles, but I like that the surface mounted ones can just screw on without having to do any cutting.

I also think I'm just going to mount a strap handle or something along the back top to make one-handed rolling easier. Roger, have you guys given any thought to adding a third edge lift handle on the back top, like you do with the Uber 410, for example?

I'll be curious to hear your thoughts, Tony. Personally, I couldn't be happier with my Shuttle. Now it's just a question of deciding on the right lightweight cab or cabs to pair with it. The leading contender for me right now is the AE410, though I'm tempted by a pair of 112s or a 112/210 combo as well.
