I also have the LMIII and now the SL600 into a TB153 4ohm. To get the sound I wanted from the LM I always ran an xotic RC booster and a compressor in front - that helped me achieve the deep round bottom, clarity and "liveliness" that I somehow couldn't get with just the LM eq section. I can do the same thing with the SL with no additional equipment, and the highs, as has been mentioned, are just perfect for my ears. I have always struggled with a fine line between too much and not enough, but the highs are so much more "creamy" maybe? on the SL it makes it so much easier.

AFAIK I'm on the top of the list for an SL600 from YOMS, so hopefully this delivery will bring some good news. I'm not knocking on Mike, as he's been great to work with, my GAS is just suffocating me.
<edit>You're in Ukiah - if you ever want to come down to Santa Cruz area, you're welcome to try it out.
(Shameless plug - my Funk band is playing at Coasters on the boardwalk in Santa Cruz this Friday (2/18) - great chance to hear this rig!)

Maybe the amp has some to do with this, but it sounds like there is a 410 cab, with a 15 underneath.

Well my Uber Quad arrived this afternoon, and of course I couldn't wait to hook her up with my STM-900.
WOW!!
I've heard some say this cab had a very vocal characteristic. You weren't kidding! The best way I can describe it as the deepness of a 15, with the deifinition of a tight punchy 410.
