Genzler Amplification Club

Hi All,

Just a quick note to mention that I tried the MG350 combo on top of the BA12-3SLT and it was sublime! The two cabs blend very nicely, with the BA12-3SLT giving a solid bottom and the BA10-2 adding detail. I don't know how the notes coming out of this rig can be so thick and solid yet so detailed at the same time. I lined up the arrays and left the EQ flat with no contour...it simply didn't need anything added. I still plan to experiment with the EQ and both contours since I know there's more pleasing sounds to discover. The only down side was that the band members were liking the rig so much and asking so many questions about it that it was distracting us from playing!

It doesn't get any better than this.

Bob

Recently acquired MG 800. To be paired with my GK Neo 112’s until I can try the BA 12-3’s

Looks like the 410-3 cabs are in stock. I was just at the genzler site and the OUt Of Stock label is gone....

I have been off this month, But I have been subbing for different bands while their players are out of town for summer. So what i thought was going to be a slow month turned out to be full of gigs. Hey it helps BOOST the song repertoire for sure!!!!!!

Seems they all like my new 410-3. Ive gigged with one of the bands on and off for 15 years or so, and they all loved it.
The acoustic guitar front guy didn't stop raving about it. Their normal player has a "Boutique" named 610 cab and he thought my 410 was more full, more punchy, clearer, and more focused.
So yesterday wasn't a large place .. Maybe 250 people or so??/ I'm guessing..
And i was near a corner which wreaks havoc on a clear tight tone at times.
I also (By Mistake) had the OHMS switch on my Magellan 800 set to the 2.6 ohm setting which cut my power.
The BA410-3 and MG800 is a DYNAMIC combination and sounds great at low volume as well as fairly LOUD gigs..
IMO, the 410-3 is so efficient it sounds good and has decent gigging volume even with low powered amps ..
I purposely brought my old early 90s ampeg SVT-3 Non Pro to try out a lower wattage amp. . It's only about 350 watts at 4 Ω.
The efficiency of the 410 3 made even a relatively low powered 350 watt amp just fine.
Here is a photo from yesterdays club gig.. With my 410-3, MG800 and my old ampeg SVT3 non pro

I was curious at how my low powered Solid State SVT 3 non-pro would drive my 410-3 cab. It's only 350 watts @ 4Ω and 200 watts @ 8Ω... The cab is so efficient it still moves air with the minimal amount of power... I want to try my Walkabout with it too.. That is even less power than the SVT..
Though the MG800 just has so much more noticable HEADROOM.. With this cab I have not had to run the MAster's much past 10 o'clock for any LOUD gig. Its meatiness stays meaty.. It's a sledgehammer

Do you get a commission for every 410 sold? :D I have ZERO need for one, but really want to check one out now, mostly thanks to your enthusiastic reviews... and my happiness with my other Genzler stuff...:bassist:

No i don't.. I actually PAID for mine too...
But i don't have any problem BOASTING loudly when i find something that makes me better. Im a gear whore from way back..:)
I hear ya.
Ive gone from tri amped cabs with Crown amp in the 70s to other custom rigs . to ampegs, and a small Meyer Monitor years ago.
Now that PAs are so efficient and monitors are so good, I can actually use a cab this small to do any gig on planet earth.
I've played Madison square garden and rooms just like it many times with a pair of 410s .
This 410-3 can easily perform as well and with BETTER clarity .. Love the new TECH.. And this Class D MG800 is the 1st Class D that made me not miss my older gear
