Took the 210 out for an outdoor gig last night and if I needed any reminder as to how wonderful that little cab is, I got it and then some. Along with the 800 head it just hit every note perfectly (unlike me) with power and clarity. I still have yet to play a gig with the 15 and 210 together but can't wait for the opportunity.

I've been so bored during the Covid era that I have looked around at lots of other cabs and heads but after playing out last night I'm reminded that it's a fool's errand to try to best the Genzler gear. Easy load in, effortless performance and a great sound. I'm a happy bassman.

Odd angle but after owning it for several months, I FINALLY was able to use the BA15-3 SLT at rehearsal and I’ve fallen in love all over again. Deep. Punchy. Articulate. And even though it was way below my ear, neither I nor anyone else in the band, had difficulty hearing myself.

Now three gigs in a row this weekend where I’ll be using this or this plus my 210-3 and I absolutely can not wait. Wow.

Ok, I'm continuing to gain experience with one or a pair of BA10-2s. I did a pair of outdoor gigs with a trio that I'm in...two acoustic guitars through amps and DI'd to a Bose PA, three voices through the PA, and me through the MG350 and a pair of BA10-2s with no PA.

The first gig had the band against an outside wall per the pics below. The reinforcement of the wall behind the Genzler rig caused me to turn down even lower than usual. But the sound was still clear and punchy with a lot of headroom left.

The second outdoor gig (no pic) was open air behind the band, so I could play at normal volume (about 11 o'clock on channel volume and 10 o'clock on the master). Every time I use this rig I'm amazed at the volume, clarity and punch.

I love the 15! I got another BA15-3 SLT to add to the first not for more bass or volume but I needed another speaker to help get highs and mids to punch through better and mainly to get the fx to cut through at band mix. Like a phaser, envelope filter, that stuff. That single 15” cab tho I used a LONG time outside even it “filled it up” it’s quite impressive how low it hits an even at quite volumes or dynamic an articulate it can be. No flub ever! I love it, I do kinda wish I woulda got a multi speaker setup then added one single 15 cause they just hit sssooo deep. It’s not a bad thing but I think maybe a couple of 10s or something like that woulda helped push the fx an that. But overall I LOVE my Genzler rig! I also use the Magellan 800 and I had a buddy who’s in steady flow a pretty popular touring act From here in Peoria and he mentioned he like the DI of the Magellan over his $1000 DI. I love the contour knob it’s one of my favorite to dime, then I just love how channel 1 is this modern punchy scooped 3D type punch an channel 2 is more the muffled modern jacco traditional sound not a lot of amps can pull it off an do it as well as this one does. In fact idk if any can!

Muffled is a bad word, I meant that in the best possible way I just don’t know what other word to use that could get most the point across i thought the mentioning of jaccos tone would kinda throw the hint I’m getting at. Joe dart, jacco, Larry graham, that muffled in a good way, like it’s the 3D type of sound. It’s just that old school bass sound and I love it. I guess it would just sound a little more compressed an not seem as punchy an boomy or mid scooped if I’m being more descriptive of it.

I suggested you go with a 210 instead of the 15 way back in the thread since you were looking for more miss and highs. At this point it seems like the 2 15s just aren’t delivering what you want. Why not put a 210 on top?
