Sounds like someone I'd love playing with. As I've mentioned before, playing with most rock drummers in my Americana/bluegrass jams is pretty sucktastic from my perspective (and worse yet playing jazz), and I greatly prefer playing with no drummer at all in those situations. But I've been lucky enough to work a lot with a few guys who can just flip a switch when a different style and feel is needed, thankfully.

Belated comment on jazz guys: First, a little backstory-my father played sax in 'jazz'[mostly "standards"] big bands and smaller combos, so I grew up listening to all kinds of jazz*.
I've played in big bands through piano/drums/bass combos and different size conglomerations in between. I'm always amused by the jazz guys 'putting down' 3 and 4 chord rock-n-roll*. And then calling up and playing a 3 or 4 chord blues.:wacky:

Paul, if you want to learn more about MasOS after you get done with the book, there are many opportunities. MacOS is built on top of freeBSD and there is a bash shell built in. bash is very powerful. With it, you automate things you want to do, build your own commands, etc.
