That last one is my hero.

This grumpy old fart has finally retired for good an older version of MicroSim that is no longer supported and they want me to buy a $2800 replacement instead. I do not want to learn another version for that price (it's a good bit different) and they discontinued the original Electronics Workbench package that was about $500 and route you right to the new Multisim package. I am grumpy because I have to learn LT-Spice and have wasted a good bit of today doing so... why does each package use entirely different layout approaches and tools. What does one thing in my PCB package does an entirely different thing in this package. Ugh... I'm going to have to have another glass of grumpy juice.

Electronics Workbench was a useful tool. Moving to a new platform involves a lot of hard work and patience.

I've been upgrading DAW software and am in awe of the array of plugins available. Waves in particular is pushing the envelope. I was looking at their Emotion LV1 system for live sound mixing. See the video. Yikes!

Time to check in after roaming the wilds of TB. Having a hard time understanding how youngsters think about issues other than bass. In fact, I can't even think of how to think about their thinking when it comes to self esteem, self centeredness, etc. It confirms the Theory of the ************* of America. Yeah..I said it!!!

Am going back out there after packing a lunch. I will leave a trail of bread crumbs in case you need to search.

Yesterday, I had a completely new experience. For the very first time I passionately kissed a 54 year old woman. Yes, it happened to be my wife's birth date anniversary. I'm feeling decidedly not grumpy and a bit wild and crazy this weekend. No worries, my fellow grumpsters. This ungrumpiness will pass. ;)

Life is good! Enjoy your happiness! Go for a ride on a motorcycle without a shirt! Congrats!

LTspice is really its own world IME. Oddly enough, the Yahoo forum for it is quite good and the software writer checks in there fairly regularly. The Mac version is quite different from the 'Doze version though, apparently. Double your chances for grumpiness, good times.

You look pretty happy there! For a GOF.

Well it did get me the day off with pay!! :)

In the afternoon we played Nathan Phillips Square which is a space in front of our Municipal building. Apparently there were 14 thousand people there.

The band was put together to play concerts and support the United Way Charity. We were together for seven years.

The fretless was a fairly new possession and I had to keep my eyes on where I was putting my fingers. As the show was live I had every VCR in the house set up to record it.

Just in case I took along my white fretted six which can be seen on a stand during the video. I’ve listened very closely and I could detect no mistake in my playing which was a big relief!! :)

I have several award plaques from my company for the different functions we played.
