Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Bought Carey a very high end shampoo and conditioner -- help her hair get healthy after her scare last year-- and put it on a shelf in the bathroom. It's not anywhere to be found. We've looked everywhere. The last time we both remember seeing it is on the stove (where we open Amazon packages). Sheesh this premature Annheiser Busch stuff is really hard on the noggin.

and another one

A club of four.

I started with lessons at a music school. The school apparently believed that everyone should play right handed. In orchestras, you couldn’t have fiddle, cello, and bass players bowing left handed, you could take an eye out. So they had a rule. There was no discussion, I did what I was told. I didn’t even know that there were left handed instruments till I saw the Beatles.

Some teachers make left handed kids learn to write right handed. It went on when I was a kid, it is still going on today. This sort of forced change social engineering doesn’t sit well with me. Square pegs shouldn’t be forced into a round hole.
STILL?! I started as a lefty but was forced into right handedness because "I didn't want to be different" when I hit school. Now that was in the late 50's early 60's. Once a teacher tried that on my younger daughter and we had a loud one sided conversation and I changed to a more progressive school. Nothing gets my hackles up or grumps me more than forced change or compliance. She thanks me to this day. She is my jewel. Maybe I will post a photo she won a National Arts competition with. All because Mom & Dad let her be "Different"

Something tells me that teacher tangled with the wrong Senior Chief.

Alright you talked me into it.
A bit of explanation. She took this by herself and printed it in private so she wouldn't be embarrassed. So she did all the lighting, setup, posing, undressing, dressing all by herself in a rented studio.
She today is a professional photographer in So. California.
Proud PaPa? You Bet!

But not Laphoraig (shudders). Tastes like a burning hospital. Whew!
Bob
My 'bitter half' liked some sorta blended scotch. I tried it-hated it. Many mango seasons later, I hesitantly tried a single malt(Glenfiddich maybe?)@ WDW "Food & Wine Festival". OMG! All the years I hadn't known. I'm slowly trying to make up for lost opportunities.

Attention GOFs

this is not a drill

Thank you so much. You have made an old who attended the shows at the Fillmore, Fillmore West, and Winterland every Sunday very nostalgic. Now that was a group of Grumpy Old Farts! Jack sure could make that Epiphone sing. It is too bad that Jorma is the only one left.

My oldest grandson (now 14) was ambidextrous as a toddler. No one said anything to him about which hand to use. He settled on his own as a lefty around 5 years old.

Well let's see. I had just returned from my third armed conflict (Dessert Storm), her mother (a O'Brien from Cork Ireland) was demanding something be done, and my daughter was in tears because of being "different". Yes Plaid he didn't stand a chance. You can say I did save him from the wrath of the Irish. I am such a sweet guy! The incident is still talked about at that high school. He chose the wrong family in total.
