Nope. Sans amp! We have a silent stage except for my gear. Even the drums are silent. Thanks for the kind words.

It's true that my EB-0 was the definition of mudbucking, but I'm not sure I believe it's all down to the amplification systems. Precision basses were more ubiquitous back in the day and they didn't sound quite like that. But nothing then sounded as good or as well defined as things do today with more advanced technology, especially in the bass world.

I owned an EB0F with a built in fuzz box. Yuck. I can't remember if there was a black plastic plate under the hand rest. My EB2 had such a plate and it hid a 'tone coil' wired across the pickup and shunting all highs to ground. Disconnecting it brought the whole instrument alive. I wired in a three way switch which put the coil in parallel with the pick up as original. In the opposite side had the coil in series with the pick up for some nice mid-rangy tones. In the middle had the coil off. It was a much more useable instrument after the modifications which were all done via the ƒ hole. It was then stolen. <sigh>

If the EB0 has the same coil you might want to think about disconnecting it to see the difference.

This club actually pays us a bit, and we usually double that with tips. I hate begging but people don't tip if we don't remind them that there is a tip jar. So I have learned to be shameless about it. We've tried it there both ways.

Another good one. Bass has a nice piano like tone. Your vocals are excellent.

Thank you. Everything I get out of that bass is a combination of the bass itself, the head, the cabinet, and how and where I dig in. I play clean, no pedals, but there's a significant amount of gain distortion from the head.
