I've had the shots in my neck and lower back several times. Good for a few years. Some need only one, some twice a year. My knees do that too. Learned how to avoid and unlock on my own. Shoulders dislocate easily too. I have Evil Kaneivl's skeleton, but not the riding skills... nor the balls :D

Happy Birthday Sir!

Thanks for the tip, but I think I am beyond anything other than conventional medicine at this point. I at least have herniated disks, maybe ruptured, but was afraid to hear more. The spinal nerves are being strangled by the disks which are attempting to exit my spine. This aspect of my spinal failure has been going on at least two years. Shooting pain down my legs was the first symptom, then weak legs and tingling fingers. Now I'm mowing the lawn with my left hand and can't move a mouse for more than about 30 seconds. Typing not as bad. I can't really do my job anymore. I can still go in though, or use sick days :D First herniated disk was found ten years ago. o_O:thumbsdown::rage::mad::confused::dead:

We just got our airline tickets for coming back to the USA. Leaving June 9th. The main reason is to get my knee and possibly shoulder repaired. We plan on being there for six weeks. I might have to stay longer if my knee problem needs extra recovery time. That's the bad news. The good news is we will be staying at my best friend's house. He is also a keyboard player and producer extraordinaire. We have been playing together off and on for over 45 years. Our latest effort was his playing, arrangement and production of my daughters first effort as singer/songwriter. You can check it out on Youtube "Day I Met You" by Ayessa.
And it gets even better: We're getting the band back together! The original drummer (who is now a great guitarist too) will be there. The Out To Lunch Group rides again after 45 years! We were an insane Zapp-esque, Jeff Beck, Punk Doo-Wop bunch of zanies. Now we are fat old grandfatherly zanies. But we are all playing better than ever. I just pray they can wheel me in to the practice room. Plus my daughter, and my son who is my oldest and a smokin' drummer, might be part of it all. This is turning in to a bucket list kind of thing, not to get morbid about it. All day today I was trying out different equipment to decide what to bring. For basses was between the Dingwall 5er or Carvin SB5000. Carvin won; records nicely and is my all around goto bass.

That is awesome.. I like good stories like that, I have not seen the guys that was my really first great band in with in maybe 30 years.. they are in the area.. but they all must be hermits, I can't find them. I know that they come into the local music store.. but the guys there never seem to remember to pass my number to them.. it is always the way, "oh yeah, dang I forgot all about that!" kind of thing.. it is ok.. it don't make me too grumpy..
On another note, yesterday was the first time I had a battery die on me in a bass in years! Good thing it was only practice.. But it reminded me that I must keep a few spares and the appropriate screwdriver handy at all times.

Yes, I can only imagine what the SB 300 will sound like when I get around to doing the same thing to it.. it will be a while, but I can tell that the tubes that are in it, have been there for a little bit. But I am not going to touch it now.. it may not be as loud right now as the SVT, but the SB300 sounds way better than the SVT does!

Advanced welcome back to solid ground :laugh: What state are you going to?

If your friends drink, you can bring two bottles of booze for every traveler 21 YO and above. Last time I was there I brought back a couple of bottles of ESQ rum in the black box and it was a big hit. Brought 8 or 10 San Migs, of course. Those for me. Found the last one when it was over 5 years old, chilled it and it was the best San Mig I ever had. YMMV on that one with the unpasteurized/processed beer. It was in a cool dark basement. It is unprocessed, really. Grows on the San Mig trees in the mountains of Benguet, honest (uncrossing fingers now).
