Rhoda was a mink Tonkinese with turquoise eyes and would only sleep on complimentary colours. 
It was a good name in the states because no one knew what it meant, out here it's kind of run of the mill to downright unimaginative, in fact my brother-in-law said something to that effect one day.

Mine is able to ignore me in English and what little Spanish I recall from high school.
A friend had a pair of Siamese cats. I don’t know if it was the breed but if you got your face too close, they go for your eyes in half a heartbeat. People were scared of them, they’d scratch and bite.

Having known and cared for more than a few Siamese, I give them great credit for their skill in going straight for whoever is most scared of / allergic to cats.
Mine is able to ignore me in English and what little Spanish I recall from high school.
Gata has some quirks, when she jumps on the bed or on anything actually she will always lie down on top of a piece of paper, a book anything like that. Every night she jumps on the bed to say good night and then sleeps in a bed in a chair right next to the bed, sometimes she stays there all night sometimes not but she always jumps back on the bed in the morning when I make some noise to say good morning. She pretty much follows me around the house, she'll show up in a minute or so, but will come if I stand at the door and call her. She also waits for us when we go out in a chair right next to the door, she's a pretty cool cat, I've had had for thirteen years now, since she was a wee little kitty.
One of my girlfriends had one years ago and it did not like me at all and it showed me that every day by peeing in a corner of the living room, I don't remember what happened to it but it may have involved sailing out the window one night into a snowbank
, nope, just wishful thinking.
Someone else had a few cats, he would have to lock them in separate rooms when they went out, otherwise they’d literally try to kill each other. Blood would flow. His wife’s cat was very jealous of him and would attack him when she wasn’t around.

You can always trust a cat to be a cat.
We have two Chihuahuas, and of course they sometimes bark and try to scare Gata but she is not afraid of them at all, in fact she treats them with disdain most of the time, one of her favorite things to do is to sit on a chair and swat at them when they walk by. Gata can open a door as long as it's not latched, she'll either run and jump against it standing on her hind legs or just push it open with her body. It's kind of funny if you happen to be glancing at the door without being able to see the floor, it's like a ghost is slowly opening the door. The male Chihuahua (Bobby, long story) will stand at an open door if it's a fraction of an inch too small for him to fit through and cry, he's a dummy or a bruto as they say out here. I've seen the female (Mia) push through an open door before, I think there is a moral to this story.

Not anymore, my wife said we used to have them "many many years ago", not at least since I've been coming here, about eighteen years. We had Ace Home Center though, now called Maestro. There are some McDonald's and KFC here. Coca Cola, Lay's potato chips. There's even Chili's and Friday's, places like that but the native restaurants are better. We're not inundated with American stuff here though which is nice. The most common soda (Gaseosa
) here is called Inca Kola and it tastes just like Bazooka Bubblegum for anyone that remembers that, it's terrible.
