Had a Bombay taxi horn on my '49 Jeep when I was an undergrad in Tucson.

Fourteen puts me squarely in 1970. Santana, Steeleye Span, Chicago. Four? Who the blankity-blank wasn't listening to The Beatles then? And listening to Sonny Rollins, and lord-only-knows big band stuff, and hadn't hit my opera phase quite yet. I told you, 14-year-olds are idiots. What kind of bl:):)ding proof required?

There's not enough sand left in the hourglass to type out all the albums. Picking out just four? It was 1966, fer cryin' out loud! You can't pick just four, and the genres run the gamut -- classical, jazz, pop, blues, choral, international and rock.

Nope, couldn't limit myself to four either...

It is a morning like this
except different

but On This Day in 1986 I'm getting dressed for work. Same as any other day except I've now realized I've more years at work ahead of me than years I've lived. And it is somewhere in here I watch the space shuttle Challenger
over
and
over

until I wonder just what kind of day this is.
(but the e-card from NU was pretty cool, I even got shivers)

Come on, it's a beautiful day out there. The sun is shining...do you see it?
