A commercial fisherman friend of mine called and offered a special discount on king crab today. We have to go down to the local fishermen's dock between 12-5pm today. He'll knock off the body for us and we have a large pot for cooking the crab up.
Getting down is easy. The other thing is getting more difficult.
I like to get down, move around, and out some sound on a retrospectacular weekend!
Especially when you wake up in the morning and find...
Rode the scooter early this morning, low 50s. A little windy but felt good! Vacuumed the insides of both cars then did weedeatery and mowed. Ate an orange, caught up on this stuff (sort of) - geez, leave you guys alone for just 24 hrs and it goes all to heck. 
Time for coffee and a piece of peach pie.

Great thing about being a GOF, my SIL owns a lawn care/ landscape/ sprinkler system company. I haven't mowed my own lawn in over 10 years. Free babysitting trade off. I get to have a professional looking yard while drinking coffee, watching grandkids play with the dogs. Then load them up with candy before sending them home. Life is good.

Glad to hear that others are having trouble.
The wife and I are counting the days before we feel safe enough to go back to the gym.

No way!!
Our grandparents, definitely walked 10 miles to school, in the snow. Just like we had to get up and change the channel on the TV, carry change, for pay phones, turn in soda pop bottles for deposit, and use encyclopedias for research. Right like any of that really happened!

Hmph! At the photo lab we had a Smith & Corona, none of the hyphenated stuff.

I didn't picture Abbey Road, but I thought the same thing. Those are interesting playback speakers...

We have it on DVD plus the CD with all of the tunes. Watched it several times, very emotional in places, never get tired of it. Joan Osborne owns "What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted". wow.
I've had the Dr Licks book for a long time, too. Need to revisit it.

Hard to believe we didn't all grow up to be highly disturbed in some manner after those stories plus the Wizard of Oz. Probably a good thing we don't have time travel. Our parents may have gone to the future, got a copy of "Enter Sandman", came back and played it for us. "Next time I tell you to clean up your room you better do it or it's Enter Sandman again!"

They were always upgrading, even in the 60's. The Beatles started with 2-track recorder and a tube based console. Their last album, Abbey Road, used a solid state console.
The one in the image is the small Penthouse Studio. The console is a Solid State Logic Duality, it's been since changed to something else. Monitors are very nice Bower & Wilkins 800D's, monitor amps are Classe Audio.
