When I worked for FedEx I got to jump seat on a few pretty big cargo planes, MD-11s and L-1011s, many of which had a couple of rows of seats behind the cabin. On my flight from Oakland to Hawaii it was just the two pilots and me, I got to sit up front coming into Diamond Head, and there was a futon in the back to crash on. Good times.
Like this? Out my former office window, Shuttle Discovery on final approach to it's final resting place at the Smithsonian/Udvar Hazy Air and Space museum at Dulles Airport (IAD).

That means that we can each pick one up pretty cheap now, eh? I love to tinker. It's an amazing achievement, something that we'll never see again. Unfortunately Boeing has decided to stop making the 747. Four engine commercial aircraft have given way to two engine ones and fleets are being retired all over the world.

Getting old isnt for wimps.
