I receive the occasional emergency alert on my cellphone when a kid goes missing. Never received one about the weather but why not. Many have their phones glued to their hand so loosing it wouldn’t be a problem.

My wife is hooked to an app that tells her to the minute when rain drops will hit the ground at her location.
No. A bit more involved that.
Part of my problem is having no effing idea who would be the right people to talk to, or where to find that out.

Appreciate that. I would be attempting to deal with agencies from multiple, not necessarily 'friendly' states. And at the federal level? Nope, not me.
FL is doing pretty well at correcting 50-100 y/o mistakes. It doesn't happen quickly, though.
No radio. We have the "My Radar" app on the computers. Watches and warnings show up as shaded areas pretty much like the TV stations show them. And we look outside
. The National Weather Service will break into the TV broadcast if there are severe weather warnings for our area.

That's a lot of the problem out west - arguing over water rights particularly the Colorado River.
Yep. Even here in FL, I'm aware of the 'discussions' involving the Colorado, which would be a part of my idea. And therefore would never be agreed upon.

Hey! 'Nother idea. Everybody convert their pools to salt water.
The military has extensive experience with desalinization.

I have a friend that lives in White Settlement. He works for UPS and he posted some pics of hail that came down at their terminal. His car took some damage from it.
We are fully vaccinated, and mask up every time we leave the house.
That leads to some stink eye here in N. GA...or maybe it’s the tee shirt with the aviator sunglasses.
